"We called several businesses to address concerns of our foundation settling which became obvious from cracked bricks on the back of our house. Virginia Foundation Solutions was the third to arrive and give us a detailed estimate. They were extremely detailed about the process they would use and how that would solve our problem. They gave us a start date that was about a month in the future. They were in constant communication with us and started on the exact date promised. The crew arrived on time and worked harder than I thought possible. They were very professional and polite, kept us abreast of there progress and finished on time. They worked in a manner that would make you think it was THEIR home. I can't say enough good things about them, but, if you are in need of this type of costly repair you can't go wrong with Virginia Foundation Solutions. "This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."

I needed Joe and his son Tony on two occasions over the past two months.  Each time, I was met with friendly, on time service and very fair pricing.  Joe is very conscientious about doing a good job, and I like the chemistry he and his son have.  They work well together, fast and efficient.

Joe takes great pride in his work.  Of course, I'm in a rush to get things done, but after a particularly rainy weekend, Joe completed half my job one day and recommended that I wait two more days to let the bricks dry out as the humidity and moisture in the bricks were making the job look presentable but not right.  Joe wanted to do it right, which I respect.

I would use Brick Solutions again and again, and I would have no problem referring them to anyone else.

"The initial meeting went fine, the man who came out seemed very knowledgeable.  Once they began the work, they finished in a timely manner, although I did notice they hit concrete in one of the locations they were trying to dig.  When I came home after they were done (I had left the final check with my daughter to take care of - mistake), I noticed the 'repairs' to the bricks were extremely sloppy:  completely different color mortar, etc.  There was a lot going on at the moment so I did not contact them right away, and then I procrastinated further since some time had already gone by and this was cosmetic, but when I finally did contact them, I was told their brick person had been fired and they would fix the problem, and he would call back the next day.  He did not call, so I sent pictures a few days later and my husband called a month or two later, but they never contacted us.  Later I found out that they had not submitted the final inspection report to the county by the deadline so things could be properly closed out, but since I did have a copy, I was able to send that in.  By the way, the 'inspection' was based on a review of the 'drive logs.'  Now I have had additional cracks/sticking doors inside and I think there may be a new crack outside (I have not compared yet with my pictures taken earlier to verify it is new.)  I have not yet contacted them about this problem to see if they will respond.

"My house was built on a hill with no thought into how the yard was going to be used. The severely sloped yard made it nearly impossible for the kids to play outside. I contacted Legendary Landscapes to help me figure out a solution. Chad, the owner, came over for the initial consultation. I expressed my needs and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He proposed a solution for my yard and explained the steps necessary. I thought i was going to need an expensive retaining wall but Chad suggested a lower cost alternative for me using rip rap that i didn't even know was possible. The proposed price was exactly what i was looking for so the work was scheduled for the following week. Chad and his helper showed up on time and performed the work in 95 degree plus weather (kudos to them, too hot for me!). The work was done on time, 2 days as proposed despite the insane heat, with no surprises or issues. I wasn't sure how good the rip rap wall would look but i was pleasantly surprised with the final product. The work done looks great and my yard looks enormous now! I highly recommend this company, they are going on my speed dial as the first and only call for future landscaping projects.
