"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Great! He arrived on time, with the right amount of crew, tools and positive attitude! He was very experienced with Ikea cabinets and knew when we had purchased the wrong items. He also knew when to send me back to Ikea for different parts. Ikea made alot of mistakes and he knew that was common. He wrote down the numbers of the items i needed which was extremely helpful. He and his crew were fantastic and i would hire him again in the future. His prices were very reasonable and i appreciated that. I had two glass doors that were on back order so he said i could hold back $200 from his pay until they czme in. I called him on Sunday and told him i just picked them up. He told me they would be there on Monday morning to finish the job. Of course he arrived on time and he finished the job quickly. Of the 4 companies i hired to do various things in my kitchen his was the only one i didnt have issues with. I asked him to install the lights inside and underneath the cabinets and install the microwave. The lights were difficult but he worked hard until they were done. They make the whole kitchen shine! He was extremely reasonable with the microwave installation price. I asked him for several cards and already passed them out to people that wanted a new kitchen i told them he is the best installer i ever hired. He made this overwhelming project so much easier."

"Working with Creative Surfaces was a great experience, from start to finish! I wasn't sure which material to use for a new kitchen counter, so they helped me to decide on Staron, based on my work needs, and offered suggestions on color, sinks tyles and counter design. When they arrived at our house to take measurements and assess the work, Mark arrived promptly, and spent a lot of time inspecting the kitchen. We explained some of our concerns, which were the results of a REALLY BAD experience with a kitchen contractor who did an earlier remodel. That previous contractor made a lot of errors, took bad shortcuts, and left inferior work that would make the new counter installation a bit more challenging: the old (laminate) counters were not level, cabinets were not flush-mounted with the walls, and walls were not level. The counter installation required a lot more work than the average job. To correctly install the counter, Mark needed to make a lot of corrective work, such as re-adjusting cabinets to ensure they were level, making modifications to a section of drywall so the counter would lay flat against the walls, and more work that he didn't anticipate. I had purchased two faucets, and wasn't sure which we preferred. Mark helped us choose between the two, and installed the faucet for us. When I mentioned that we were in the process of waiting for an IKEA-approved contractor to call us back (after three messages left with contractor) regarding our IKEA cabinetry needs, he suggested that he do it for us. We had been able to install doors ourselves, but we wanted a professional to help with the face-outs and toe-kicks. Mark took off the old face-outs and toe-kicks, took measurements, and brought the (new) replacements to his shop to measure and cut. Within a few days, he returned for the installation. He offered the above-and-beyond cabinetry work at no charge, in lieu of a recommendation, but I insisted on providing both--it really was a lot more work than he bargained for!!! We had such bad experiences with our previous work in the kitchen that I wasn't sure what to expect with this go-around. It was everything we could have wanted and wished for, and more. Based on our complete satisfaction with the kitchen counter installation, we've asked him to help us with counters for our two baths, and without hesitation recommend Creative Surfaces to others who are looking for new counters."

"We used Mega Kitchen and Baths for a gut renovation and remodeling of a home that we recently purchased. Mega did great work from design through construction, installation, and finishing touches. Ibrahim promptly met all of our requests, and their workmanship was excellent. Katherine Bradshaw was an invaluable resource. She helped us select all of the hardware, colors, cabinets, tiles, etc. We decided to go with Mega in large part because of a walk-through of the house with Kat and her drawings for the kitchen. In the end, we were very glad that we chose Mega. Kat was a knowledgeable designer who listened to us and provided great input throughout the process. Both Kat and Ibrahim were always accessible and returned all communications promptly. It was a big job but Ibrahim and his team finished on time (on a tight schedule) and were thorough about taking care of everything on our punch list. We interviewed a number of contractors and Mega provided experience, value, and customer service. In short, we highly recommend the company and will use them again for any future projects."

"This was a purchase of tile for the main bathroom (second of three bathrooms that needed complete reno). I am very fussy - want tile made in the U.S., want a certain look, and don't want beige. That makes it hard to find tile in my price range. Jud had a line that no one else in the area carries - McIntyre. I went over to look and found something I really liked. Overall the price was OK but the decorative pieces were super-expensive. We decided to take the plunge.
FYI, they have a nice selection; none of it is inexpensive.
We worked with Holly who was extremely nice and patient but I didn't have confidence that she really knew much about tile. As with the other high-end store we'd worked with for our downstairs bath, I ended up doing all the calculations myself. Very nerve-wracking when you are talking about custom tile and thousands of dollars.
Like the other high-end place, they charge for delivery which I find to be super-chintzy.
We did have one small problem (not Jud's fault) and Holly very promptly tried to resolve it for us but it turned out that the manufacturer doesn't make the kind of corner piece we needed. Also, our contractor was worried that the decorative pieces should not be used on the floor (big panic!) and Holly was able to get the answer from the manufacturer within a couple of hours.
All's well that end's well - the tile is gorgeous and our contractor was able to come up with a very creative solution for the two corner pieces.

"They were okay. It was a little expensive for what we got. It is very versatile. They are heavy duty wall panels that have horizontal slits in it and the system hangs from those slits. The biggest advantage is that we can move things around if our needs change. I've had to reinforce a couple of the cabinets and the shelving in the corners. It is plastic but it holds up pretty well because it is protected in the garage. I didn't think the amount of weight it says it will hold was necessarily correct in all cases. The hooks have been fine. My only issues have been with the cabinets. The price is pretty steep. They were late and it took them several days to get it installed."

"Love, love, love our new kitchen. We did a major renovation changing 3 rooms into 1 large. The guys at Ocean K&B were wonderful. They: always asked my opinion, kept me informed, treated us, our home and each other with respect, kept clean and did expert work. We lived in the house while the rennovation occurred so trust me when I say I asked many questions. I was always met with a happy face and knowledgeable answer. So happy I chose them. Our colaboration produced a kitchen more beautiful than I could have imagined. I do recommend and will use in the future."

BK Contracts – On-Time, Under Budget, Amazing!

‪We found BK Contracts (herein BKC) on Angie’s List after searching for a company to finish our basement.  BKC offered an initial consult and basement design (ideas) for $249 which would be discounted from the project costs when we went with their company.

The owner, Bret, met with us, listened to our ideas, passed on some of his own and after just a few days we had a detailed proposal.  The design was exactly what we had discussed  and his estimate was very reasonable considering the size and scope of our project (about 3,000 square feet).

We had met with and talked with a number of other companies but when considering the experience, price and years in business (since 1993) we went with BKC.  Within a few days of our proposal acceptance, his crew began working.

Project Scope:

-       Au pair / In-Law suite

-       Fitness Room

-       Recreational Room

-       Theater

-       Full Kitchen

-       Storage Area

Amazing attention to detail and incredibly responsive. They far exceeded all of our expectations and would immediately adjust to any additional renovation needs, additions or changes. Luis, Lorenzo and Jorge are all trustworthy, courteous and a hardworking group of men.

The installation of the drywall went smoothly, without issue.  They inspected each piece to make sure each was without flaws.  The electrical work went smoothly as well, adjusting to our numerous (additional) requests for dimmers and pendant lighting. The painting was again, perfectly done.

Bret was reachable all day via email, text or phone and his response was almost immediate. He met me at Home Depot to help select appliances and lighting for the kitchen area and assisted with the cabinet selection as well as the backsplash and finishing touches.

We will definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them to friends and family without hesitation. BK Contracts is now my go-to company for any household needs or projects!

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"We contacted GALAXY GRANITE for a quote on our kitchen and dining room remodeling. Our first meeting with Galaxy Granite
team went great. The owner showed up and he was very patient and listened to our ideas. It was a big project, which involved removing walls, installing hardwood floors, installing cabinets, countertops and adding electrical fuses. After we signed the contract, Mr Darakhshan and his team showed up at our house and began the process. Their team were very professional and courteous. They worked efficiently and diligently to get our kitchen completed in a reasonable timeframe.  They offered ideas and suggestions without being intrusive. He kept us updated on the progress and even stopped by our house after work hours to meet with us regarding last minute requests we had. He accommodated our requests and completed the kitchen renovation within the agreed timeframe. Also, thanks to his referral, we received a HUGE discount on our cabinets. We are extremely satisfied with the services that Galaxy Granite has provided. We strongly recommend them for your kitchen remodeling. We will definitely be contacting him in the future for other home improvement upgrades we have in mind.

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

Yes, garage cabinets are worth it to organize the tools, supplies, equipment, and gear you’ve been storing in the garage. Garage cabinets provide a great way to declutter your space while also preserving your valuables—keeping them free from dust, debris, and various weather elements. Not to mention, garage cabinets also elevate the look of your garage, which can prove beneficial when you’re looking to sell your home.

While having an assistant to help ensure safety and to lend a hand is desirable, if someone isn't around to assist, you can install kitchen cabinets on your own. Normal kitchen cabinet installation starts with the upper wall cabinets. If you're working on your own, consider installing the bases first and building a temporary support structure on top of them to help you install the uppers.

In most cases, it’s more affordable to refinish your cabinets than replace them, with refinishing costs averaging $3,000 and replacement costs around $9,000. However, there are some instances in which it’s better to replace your cabinets, like if they’re an outdated style, badly damaged and beyond repair, or a sub-par material, like fiberboard. In all other cases, it’s usually a better idea to have a professional refinish them to save money and restore their original condition.

If you have a drawer larger than 30 inches, you should consider adding two pulls, but, again, this decision is up to personal preference. Any pro you work with on cabinet installation can help you determine how many pulls you need and where you should place them.

Some municipalities require permits for wall-mounted furniture installations, particularly when structural modifications are necessary. Always make sure to check local building codes before starting your Murphy bed installation project. Your Murphy bed installer will be familiar with local codes and handle the permitting process, ensuring your project complies with all relevant regulations.
