She is a great communicator, knowledgeable on ALL elements of tiling design, materials, and installation, and is a skilled problem solver. We found Young Tile to be a good value for the skills and expertise Kathy and staff provide. Kathy is reliable and responsible and always kept us informed of her plans and schedule. "This company must have made some changes since those reviews. These guys have redone 2/3 of our house now. We had them do our upstairs first a month ago because it was scary to do anything in our kitchen. They did a fantastic job. So we redid the ENTIRE main floor. Kitchen, baths, living, all of it. Tear out took longer than planned, but they finished the floor on schedule despite the delay in tear out. You coordinate with a team: Sales Person (we had Paul and he is awesome from beginning to end) Project coordinator who is emailing updates and plans. Our was Tara and she has been great to call and coordinate when schedules are being figured out. Tear Out Team: I guess only if you hire them for this. We did. It was pretty good, not great. Like I said, slow, but didn't impact final job timing. Install Team: Our was Steven and Skyler and they are the best installers I've seen. So fast, so precise. Eliminated and need for quarter round trim because of how perfect they cut the edges around our stairs. This is the most important team of the group and these two are rockstars."

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

Grout dye lasts three to 10 years, but the lifespan of any grout finishing product depends on how well you apply it and how much traffic the area gets. Proper application and lower traffic will extend the lifespan. Rushed application and high traffic can mean the dye will only last a few months to a few years.

Yes, mold can grow under your shower tiles if they aren’t thoroughly waterproofed. Even if you have a durable, non-porous tile material, water can make its way through grout or gaps around the edges of the shower. This will slowly erode the grout, which can cause tiles to come loose. It can also trap moisture behind tiles, and within a day or two, mold and mildew can rapidly grow.

Dust mops are the best option for tackling dirt and dust on marble floors. Vacuums aren’t a good idea as the brushes and beater rolls can scratch and damage your marble floors. If you must use a vacuum, make sure your vacuum has a setting for hard floors, and take care not to apply too much pressure when rolling the vacuum across your marble floor.

You can use a combination of mild soap and hot water to clean ceramic tile floors, walls, and other surfaces. When you’re cleaning a floor, it’s best to use a rag or chamois rather than a sponge mop, which can push dirt deeper into the grout. If the soap leaves any residue, use a mildly acidic cleaner to remove it.

Baking soda can take between 15 minutes and a few hours to deodorize a refrigerator or other area. Baking soda acts as a pH neutralizer for the acidic nature of smells. Placing an open box of baking soda in your refrigerator can help keep smells at bay.
