"Our A/C stopped working at 10pm on 7/7. I made several calls to other companies who advertise "same day service" only to learn they couldn't get a technician to help us for days. I called ESCO and they had a technician "Norman" at our home on 7/8. Norman went through a methodical and detailed process for isolating the problem and then worked out a solution that had us up and running by the time he left that day. We've had several companies service out A/C over the years and we've never had a tech do such detailed and thorough diagnostic work. We wouldn't hesitate calling ESCO in the future."

"Puricloud was quick to respond to our emergency and did a great job. They explained everything well and were thorough in the work. The communication afterwards to obtain the test results was a little challenging but Aaron was really helpful in making sure we got the test results we needed. They also did a nice job explaining what the values meant in â realâ language."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

"My solar company hired these guys to repair my soffit that was caused by moving an electrical mast for my panels. The tech they sent out, Jon Hunter, did an excellent job patching the hole and painting the exterior. Jon was highly courteous, professional and thorough and I will be a regular Cranston customer now, as a result."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If your Saint George home experiences frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or warm outlets, it’s a sign to schedule electrical work. Homes built before 1980 or with outdated panels are especially at risk. Spring and fall are ideal for upgrades, as extreme summer heat in UT can strain older systems. Planning additions like a pool, spa, or EV charger also signals it’s time for an electrical update.

Helpful?

In Saint George, outdoor areas such as pools, spas, and landscape lighting often need electrical attention due to intense sun and code requirements. Air conditioning units, attic wiring, and exterior panels face extra stress from the desert heat. Kitchens, bathrooms, and garages frequently require GFCI upgrades or new circuits for appliances. Regularly inspect these areas to maintain safety and keep your home up to code.

Helpful?

In Saint George, UT, hidden costs during electrical projects often include permit and inspection fees, upgrading panels to meet current code, and using UV-resistant wiring for the desert climate. You may also encounter extra expenses for trenching underground lines, relocating meters, or upgrading utility connections. Always ask your electrician to review your home’s specific needs and local requirements before starting to avoid surprises.

Helpful?

Electrical upgrades in Saint George can impact systems like HVAC, irrigation, and smart home devices. Adding new circuits for heat pumps or smart thermostats may require coordination with other trades. Outdoor electrical work can affect pool, spa, or sprinkler controls. If your home has stucco or adobe walls, wiring changes might require patching or repairs. Review all interconnected systems before starting any electrical project.

Helpful?

Your Saint George, UT home is a strong candidate for electrical upgrades if it was built before 1990, has a 100-amp panel or less, or still uses a fuse box. Homes with high appliance use, plans for solar panels, or electric vehicle charging will benefit most. Upgrading is also smart for boosting property value or making your home more appealing as a vacation rental.
