"Brandon was wonderful! I had a rain gutter falling off my house and could not find anyone to fix it. Then Brandon answered the call. He came by (Apple Valley) after working in St.Geo. it was getting late, sun going down but he showed up. Did a great job. I was so relieved to finally get that fixed. And what a great guy! Enjoyed talking with him. Thanks so much, Kay"

"I wanted to take this opportunity to leave a review for the landscaping work Good Samaritan Landscaping performed at my home. I had full landscaping installed, from irrigation, topsoil and ground leveling, concrete, fencing, rock, sod, and some extras. The results of their work have made my forever home beautiful, beyond my expectations. I receive comments from neighbors and guests often about the plan, the materials chosen, and how sharp the yard looks. I came upon Good Samaritan Landscaping through Angie’s List. I contacted them through the site and received a phone call the next morning. Leslie and Fred were quick to arrive at my home, talk about my needs and wants, and were compassionate to some constraints I was under. I had an idea of what I wanted and spoke with both Leslie and Fred about my needs and wants. They were quickly able to take my ideas and formulate a plan. I was placed into their schedule as quickly as they were able accommodate me, with other jobs they currently were involved in. Fred’s crew arrived a couple of weeks later with his equipment and began the large task of creating a yard and landscape from plain dirt. His crew worked carefully around my home, expertly avoiding the marked utilities, and the irrigation system was completed in days. Topsoil was brought in to level and properly grade the yard, which was done to Fred’s expert eye and satisfaction. Concrete curbing was then installed beautifully. Next was rock in the perimeter of the property and around the house. Fred and Leslie both looked hard for the type and color rock I had wanted. I was pleasantly surprised with stone that exceeded my expectations for color and beauty. The extra effort they took on this part of the job really sets my house apart from all others, I could not be more pleased. When sod arrived and went down, Fred was personally involved to make sure it was laid with expertise and care. The results of his work are outstanding. Fred and Leslie both are honest, genuine, and put their extra touch into their work. It is without hesitation that I give my highest complements and recommendation to Fred and Leslie at Good Samaritan Landscaping. What amazing people to work with! Thank you both for the outstanding work you have done and the beautiful yard I have!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

For fences in Saint George, keep a sturdy post hole digger, level, sledgehammer, and cordless drill ready. Store UV-resistant sealant for wood, rust-inhibiting paint, vinyl cleaner, and extra galvanized hardware. Concrete mix suited for hot, dry climates is helpful. Work early or late to avoid heat, keep fencing materials shaded, and always have extra water available for both mixing concrete and personal hydration.

Helpful?

In Saint George, be wary of quotes that overlook the area’s rocky soil, high winds, or intense sun exposure, as these factors impact fence installation and durability. Watch for contractors who skip discussing wind-resistant designs, UV protection, or proper drainage for flash floods. Avoid anyone pushing for full payment upfront, using high-pressure sales tactics, or offering contracts without clear warranty terms and material details.

Helpful?

For minor fence repairs in Saint George, you can tighten loose pickets with galvanized screws, lubricate gate hinges to reduce dust buildup, and treat small rust spots with primer and paint. Always wear sun protection, work during cooler hours, and stay hydrated. If you notice leaning posts, exposed wiring, or need to dig deeply, it’s safer to consult a local fence installation professional.

Helpful?

Begin by confirming your property lines and securing HOA approval if required in Saint George. Submit permit applications early and call to have underground utilities marked before digging. Choose fencing materials that withstand intense sun and strong winds, and plan shaded storage for supplies. Carefully vet contractors, request detailed written quotes, and budget extra time for rocky soil or weather-related delays to keep your project on track.

Helpful?

In Saint George, fencing projects can be complicated by rocky or sloped terrain, caliche soil layers, or shifting sandy ground. Check for underground utilities, irrigation lines, or retaining walls that could affect fence installation. Review property lines, HOA guidelines, and local setback or height restrictions. Homes in wind-prone or flood-prone areas often require reinforced posts or special drainage solutions for long-term fence stability.
