"We had them put in a gas line for stovetop and fireplace conversion. While we had issues getting the fireplace line in. There was a cost overrun. They worked with us to share the cost. I got a call from them also offer to fix our drywall, since it was more extensive. This was not included in the price, but I appreciate the call and offer."

"Our furnace would not turn off, so we first tried putting new batteries in our programmable thermostat. However, doing that did not fix the problem. Next, I called Parley’s PPM Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling for some help. David, who answered the phone, was pleasant and helpful, and he made an appointment for us for the next day within the 8 am to 10 am time period. Meanwhile, we worked on reprogramming the thermostat, which was a bit tricky, but the furnace began working properly again. We thought we would have the Parley’s furnace specialist check our furnace anyway, just to make sure there were no other problems with it. Robert Winget, the furnace specialist, arrived within the proposed time frame and was very knowledgeable and professional. He checked out our furnace and found no problems with it and there was no charge for the service."

"Greg was so great. He was immediate at responding to my call. He made time to come out as soon as possible. When he arrived he was so professional and took his time to find and fix the problem. I would definitely recommend high point plumbing to anyone in need. This was not my first experience with them. They have come out to my house several times for other furnace, air conditioning, and thermostat issues."

"Eric was awesome and did great work. he was knowledgeable, kept me updated on his time. the only issue was the price, it was a little more than I wanted to pay. I went with him because he really seemed knowledgeable. He asked great questions, explained things, and did it with integrity. He even researched whether he needed updated BTU for all other gas appliances."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

Appliances typically connected to a gas line include gas stoves, water heaters, furnaces, and gas fireplaces. Essentially, any appliance in your home that uses gas needs to be connected to a gas line, which connects your home with the main gas line owned and operated by your gas company.
