"Katy diagnosed our problem by allowing me to text her a photo of our unit, which saved a lot of time. She came quickly to personally explain our options. She was very friendly and professional and understood our concerns of fast, reliable and affordable service of a new unit that would work well for years. She truly has our best interests at heart. Our technicians were Dan and Alex and they couldn't have been better. Katy told them to treat us like family and they worked quickly to get our new furnace, AC, coil, thermostat and ducts installed, inspected and working perfectly. It was like a breath of fresh, cool air! And Katy handled getting us all signed up for a Lennox rebate that helped tremendously. She even reminded me to send her our gas bill so she could get the rebate to us sooner! Highly recommended team of professionals over there!"

"Great company to work with. They came out on time and gave me a quote to replace my old fireplace. The guys installed a beautiful fireplace with a blower to help keep my home warm. They also replaced my old mantel with a new one that I picked out. Would use these guys again in the future."

"Kevin Crickenberger, Holiday Heating, provided us with exceptional quality service and value when replacing our 50+ year-old steam boiler. This project was difficult as it required disassembling the boiler to get it down a set of stairs into the basement and then reassembling the boiler and steam pipe network. Kevin and his crew went above and beyond to get this work completed. We will have Kevin do our annual maintenance on the new boiler and highly recommend him for any maintenance, repair, or replacement of boiler systems."

"I can’t say enough good things about Utah Climate Pro’s! Our home was built in 1986 and only had a swamp cooler — no central AC. We decided it was time to upgrade, and Chaz (the owner) made the whole process simple and stress-free. He came out the very next day, walked me through the best options, and helped us choose a highly efficient, top-of-the-line Rheem heating and cooling system. Two days later, his team was here installing two new furnaces and adding AC units to both. They were professional, respectful, and clearly highly trained — not your typical subcontractors. They protected our new floors, worked clean, and treated our home with care. The entire installation only took two days, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. We’re beyond excited to finally have central AC and reliable, efficient heating. If you’re even thinking about upgrading or adding AC, don’t wait — call Utah Climate Pro’s. Chaz and his team make it easy, and the quality of their work speaks for itself."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Yes. In many cases, switching from an old furnace to a high-efficiency boiler can help you save money over time. You can also save money by switching from an electric boiler to a gas boiler, which costs much less compared to the energy bills an electric boil can create. Boilers are often (but not always) more efficient than furnaces, too. Then there are discounts, rebates, and incentives that can help you save on the initial costs.

The main difference between an outdoor wood furnace versus an outdoor wood boiler is what each appliance is heating. An outdoor wood furnace burns wood to create heat, which warms the air and moves it through the ducts in your home. An outdoor wood boiler uses the heat from burning wood to warm water, which goes through pipes to radiators in the home.

No, there isn’t always water in radiators. In a one-pipe system, water is constantly circulating from the boiler to the radiators and back. In a two-pipe system, water travels through two separate channels: one that goes to your radiators and one that returns back to the boiler so it can heat up again.

Boilers are equipped with multiple safety features to ensure safe operation. These include pressure relief valves to prevent overpressure, temperature high-limit switches to avoid overheating, and flame failure safety devices in gas boilers to cut off the gas supply if the flame goes out unexpectedly. Low water cutoffs prevent operation with insufficient water levels, and pressure gauges help monitor pressure levels. Ventilation and flue systems prevent the buildup of harmful gasses. Boilers often feature error code systems for automatic shutdown during malfunctions and gas leak detection for safety. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure these safety features function correctly.

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.
