"First I ordered my furnace to be cleaned and tuned up.  They were fast.  A serviceman came the next day.  His name was Steve.  He did an excellent job.  What really impressed me was that he took the time to answer questions I had about an unrelated matter. I was thinking about having a whole house humidifier and air purifier installed.  He answered questions for nearly 1/2 an hour - something he wasn't getting paid to do.  I was so impressed that with him that I signed up for their yearly service plan and made sure that he would be the one to come each time.

Because of Steve's answers I also went ahead and ordered the whole house humidifier and air purifier.  My family has some special needs in this regards that required a different set up than Manwill normally installs.  Again, they were incredibly helpful and fast.  Brian was my main contact.  He did a couple of hours of research to find out just how to meet my families needs.  Again they were really quick.  Within two days of my phone call Matt Perkins and Jared came to install the humidifier and air purifier.  They had to build an entirely new floor to ceiling air duct to make sure that everything worked. They did an absolutely beautiful job.  I would hire them again anytime.  After they left, though, I realized that they had missed one part of the installation.  I called and Brian promised to have someone out the very next day to fix the issue. Everything works perfectly, just as I needed it to.  Overall, the experience was excellent.  I will do business with Manwill again next time I need anything done with my HVAC system."

"True Pros was awesome to work with. They were quick to respond, arrived when they said they would, and Dallin and Ethan were knowledgeable and quick to do the repairs we needed. I will use them from now on and refer them to anyone looking for HVAC services!"

"Started out with a non-functioning outdoor fan on a 20 yr system. Turned into a whole new install of the heating and air conditioning systems. Brozwood impressed with on-time service, full disclosures, excellent information that checked out, and ultimately excellent equipment and installation at a very fair price. The crew showed up the very next morning and spent twelve hours removing the old, completely reducting the returns, moving the humidifier, and installing a 'beautiful' 96% furnace and 5-ton air conditioner. Inside and out it looks excellent. Time tells when it comes to dependability and quality, but it all looks very good so far. Losing your heating and cooling system is usually a stressful experience during which you might be taken advantage of. Nice to be able to say that this all turned out very well. Researching expected costs for good equipment and expected installation costs showed that this job was right in line. A side note about HomeAdvisor: Finding excellent pros has always been so hit and miss. This is the second referral that HA has given me and again it turned out really well. The first was a plumber that provided the same level of quality that Brozwood has. HomeAdvisor is really earning my respect."

Humidifier Repair questions, answered by experts

Cleaning and replacing filters and ducts reduce allergens and enhance air quality.

No, air purifiers neither cause dry air nor increase the home's humidity levels. They remove allergens and dust but don't alter the water content in indoor air. However, because some air purifiers move large volumes of air, the areas immediately surrounding a portable unit can feel cooler and dryer than the rest of the home.

While you’re busy swapping out that old compressor, now is a great time to have your furnace cleaned and serviced , especially if your home is older and your heating system is as old as your AC unit. Likewise, it’s a good idea to clean your air ducts to ensure air flows properly through the house.

An evaporator or swamp cooler is a common alternative for small spaces. These coolers blow moist air into a space to help cool it down. They are more affordable than misters and use much less water. However, coolers will not have the same cooling effect as misters, cannot help plants survive the heat, and only reach a small area.

There are some physical signs you need to have a humidifier that manifest as signs in your home and body. For the home, Watch for cracked and peeling paint, dry wooden flooring and furniture, excessively loud creaking wooden floors or doors, and an increase in the electricity needed to cool or heat the home. Physical symptoms include frequent dry air passages, Scratchy throat, increased allergy symptoms, and dry eyes.
