YES HVAC simply did not inform me of the company rebate program; instead, they just took the money from me without my knowledge. I eventually found out about the rebate later when I replaced the second full system in our house. Obviously I went with another more transparent/honest company the second go around. When I discussed the situation with YES management (even providing them with the written proof from Carrier Company of the rebate program), I still have heard nothing further from YES. My suggestion is to go with the competition rather than YES HVAC; it cost me a $2,500 rebate, what will they scam you out of?"

Some things that I have done in the past are changing/wiring electrical sockets, painting, trimming doors, installing cameras, cleaning gutters, window cleaning, furniture assembly, TV mounting, and so much more. Basically if it’s a household task I’ve probably done it. I also am a welder and have access to welding and cutting equipment. Most of my welding work has been industrial, but I can do small jobs for people who don’t have access to a welder. Some of these would be fixing metal handrails, fixing gates, hard facing lawn mower blades, tool repair, and other one person welding jobs. My goal is to serve the customer in a professional and quick time frame, for a reasonable cost. I will give free estimates, and have senior and military discounts. While it’s possible to only replace an evaporator coil to keep your AC running, this could cause issues down the line. An AC system relies on the harmony between its condenser and evaporator coils for efficient operation. Replacing only one coil, especially in older units, can cause compatibility issues, leading to inefficiency and potential system breakdown. 

As AC units near the end of their expected lifespan, investing in the cost for a new AC system is typically better than paying for individual component upgrades to avoid costly repairs and ensure optimal performance.

If your HVAC system's capacity doesn't match the required CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute), imbalances can occur. An undersized system struggles to maintain desired temperatures, leading to discomfort. An oversized system might short-cycle, wasting energy and causing temperature fluctuations. Properly matching capacity to CFM ensures efficient and consistent heating, cooling, and home ventilation system performance.

One of the fastest ways to unfreeze an AC unit is to turn off the unit and, if it’s warm outside, use the fan-only mode to help blow warmer air through the unit to speed up the defrosting process. While it may be tempting to use a hair dryer to defrost the air conditioner, that high heat can damage the coils.

After defrosting, if you can safely solve the issue with a fix like changing the filter, go ahead and do so. Otherwise, call in a pro before turning your AC back on.
