"This place was unreal. Anton was unreal. My air conditioning has never worked better. I had no idea how much junk builds up in your system or how important it is to have it cleaned out—our whole house feels fresher, and the air quality is noticeably better. Anton is super detail-oriented, borderline obsessive (in a good way) about doing the job right. You can tell he really cares. He went above and beyond and did incredible work. I ended up having him do my mom’s system too, and I’ve already referred him to a couple of other people—same feedback from them: awesome experience all around. Honestly, we always thought something was wrong with our upstairs AC, but all it needed was a thorough cleaning. His company handled it like pros. Super personable, honest, and just solid people. Can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend."

"True Pros HVAC and Truly Pros!!!! Technician Dallin professionalism and positive on-site attitude stood out, especially when tackling challenging issues. True Pros came when they said, scheduled and confirmed the appointment time via text! Dallin is a knowledgeable technician, who demonstrated patience and helpfulness, taking the time to explain the new Ecobee thermostat to my 80-year-old husband and addressing all his questions. True Pros HVAC truly delivers top-notch service! Its worth noting that True Pros HVAC is a locally owned and operated female business, adding a commendable layer of diversity to the industry. This combined with their exceptional service, makes them stand out even more. I appreciate supporting businesses that contribute to the local community."

"Mason has the expertise and took the time to analyze the condition of my system first. At no cost he took out the large main blower, so he could take pictures inside the heat exchanger, etc. We then discussed replace or repair options. His work was fast and well done."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You can protect your air conditioner in the winter by turning off the power at the thermostat and performing routine HVAC maintenance in the spring. Regular maintenance, cleaning, and repair of your AC unit helps protect it and extend its life span. If you have a window AC unit, remove it from the window and store it in a dry place during the winter. Window units cannot withstand freezing temperatures. Keeping them in your window also allows cold air to seep into your home.

To make the most out of your AC, consider implementing the following best practices:

  • Choose the right size AC for your home to ensure your unit runs as efficiently as possible.

  • Choose a window with shade, as direct sunlight can cause your AC unit to overheat.

  • Clean or replace the filter at least every two months.

  • Inspect the AC’s fan and straighten it if necessary.

  • Discontinue use immediately if you suspect a malfunction, as running the AC while broken can lead to significant issues.

  • Turn off (or adjust the temperature) when you leave the house.

Yes, you should turn off your AC if it’s leaking. Turning off the system prevents more condensation from leaking and reduces strain on the unit if a damaged internal component or lack of refrigerant is the cause. While this may temporarily stop the leak, water can continue to drip from a thawing coil even after the system is off. As soon as you notice a leak, turn off the unit and investigate the source or call a professional for an inspection.

Replacing both an AC and a furnace takes a full day on average, ranging from eight to 12 hours. The process involves removing the old units, installing the new ones, and ensuring all connections are properly made. If both systems are being replaced simultaneously, it can take longer than installing a furnace alone, so plan accordingly.

Modern AC leak sealants work as a temporary measure to stop refrigerant leaks. You can purchase them at most home improvement stores or on online. When using an AC leak sealant, keep in mind that it’s only a temporary solution, so you’ll still need to hire a pro to install a replacement part as soon as possible.
