"Great! We had a one hour virtual appointment to diagnose the problem with our dryer, James emailed us the part number to allow us to shop around and get it at a good price, and walked us through how we would install it once it arrives. He was knowledgeable, kind and very helpful."

"I was trying to decide between getting a shower insert (like what Bathfitter does) and doing tile. I am so glad I chose Bathfitter! Bathfitter was able to install a shower with my existing tub in less than one day. It looks great! I waited a couple of weeks to do my review, to be sure everything worked okay and it does.
Everyone involved in the whole process was very nice,  from the show room to the installation.  The sales guy who came to my house was able to walk me through the choices with no pressure. It was not necessary to replace or even cover my old tub, which I appreciated him telling me as it saved me a lot of money.
When it came time to install, the Bathfitter installer removed the old tiles around the tub, opened the wall to install the pipes for the shower and put everything back together with the new wall system. The walls around my tub were very crooked before and the tub had a weird shelf along the side and the installer was able to even out the walls and blend the shelf into the new shower. It looks much better than I expected actually, considering what they started with.
The installer was VERY patient with me as I could not decide where to put the shower curtain rod and even moved it for me once.  He left the work area cleaner than he found it. Really, everything was great.
If there was any down side, it's the early closing time of the showroom. As a person with a daytime job, It was challenging to get there while they were open. It probably wasn't even necessary to go to the show room but I wanted to see the product before a sales guy came to my house. Once I got there though, seeing the option in the showroom  helped me better understand the product and the various options and made me feel more comfortable with the decisions.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Oil boilers provide reliable heating, efficiency, and long-term cost savings compared to electric options.

Many utility companies and government programs offer rebates or incentives for the installation of high-efficiency propane boilers. These can offset upfront costs and improve your return on investment. Check with your local utility or installer for current offers. Incentives vary by state and provider, so exploring regional programs can help maximize your savings.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).

If you want to have hot water in your home and part of your plumbing system, you'll need a hot water heater. An alternative may be to heat water as you use it, such as by boiling what you need on the stove. But that's much less efficient and takes considerably longer than hooking up a water heater. Another option is to rely on appliances, such as a dishwasher or washing machine, that heat the water themselves.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.
