"First of all, it was very quick to setup an appointment with them. Second, they do two weeks inter fulls of spraying. Meaning, they do the first week of spraying inside and outside and then return in two weeks. Right now we have a week left before they come back to follow up. When they come inside your home, they do every room and there isnâ t any smell. On the outside they go inside the garage, around the home and wherever the nest maybe for the ants. They will do the very same thing when they return. In the meantime, we havenâ t seen any ants."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to over-mulch leaves. If the leaf mulch is thick enough that it’s blocking and smothering the grass, that’s a problem. Ideally, you should still be able to see the grass when you’re done mulching to ensure its ability to continue growing. The solution is to make another pass at the top layer of leaf mulch to collect some of the top layer.

Yes, removal services can handle projects like estate clearouts or major renovations.

The frequency of gardening service visits depends on two significant factors—the service and your budget. If you’re a gardening DIYer and only need someone to check on your plant's health quality, you might not need many visits throughout the year. However, if you love the idea of a garden but don't have the time or patience to plant, water, and maintain your garden, you might need weekly visits (or more, depending on the weather).

To reduce landscaping costs, you can implement several strategies at every stage. Consider doing the work yourself (DIY) to save on professional labor fees. You can also repurpose existing features and materials from other home projects. When purchasing new items, choose more inexpensive materials and opt for softscaping over hardscaping where possible. Another effective method is to buy young plants or plant from seed, which is more cost-effective than purchasing mature plants.

A standard home lawn mower with sharp blades can handle a thin layer of leaves without issue. You may need to make a couple of passes within several days to mulch leaves down, but your mower shouldn’t struggle. If your mower comes with a mulching kit, like an attachment to blow leaves out the side, that’s a good sign it’s ready for fall leaves. Set your mower to the highest or near-highest height for this project so it focuses on the leaves rather than the grass below.
