"We hired Ronnie at Root Homes to do a complete remodel. This include demolition of walls, removal of archways, flooring, painting, cabinetry, casing, baseboards, shiplap (you get the idea). I am a difficult client-to say-the least and the fact that I am giving him a five star rating and a glowing review is something. He helped us develop and design a plan. This part was a bit intimidating for us but he made it easy. He is a unique builder who has an eye for design and the attention to detail to execute. Most contractors, in my experience, are skilled at executing on plans designed by others. Ronnie can do both design and execution. We joked with him that he laid out his tools like a surgeon. Ronnie provided us with a detailed project plan prior from the very beginning. He itemized everything and gave a price for each line item. Most importantly, there were absolutely no surprises in terms of cost. He communicated with us every step of the way about timelines and budgets. The quality of the work in all phases was excellent. If we had concerns, he addressed them quickly and professionally. He always met or exceeded our expectations. His subcontractors are excellent and Ronnie was always there to oversee their work. After completion, he went over the final bill and there was absolutely no surprises. He wasn't the cheapest (or most expensive), but the value (price + quality) was completely worth it. Finally, and this might sound trivial, but he was in our home almost every day for 3 months. He was clear about when he would be there and worked around our schedule (we both work from home). He was easy to have around. I could not recommend Ronnie and Root Homes more highly--if there were six stars--he would have earned that. Hire him if you have a project you will not be disappointed."

"RPM Construction / Jeremy was great to work with and provided high-quality custom work. This was the second home that we had Jeremy build and he did an outstanding job managing subs and communicating things that we, as new home builders, may not have anticipated. If you have ever seen the show *Fixer Upper* you know that unanticipated things happen with most construction projects, whether it be delays with weather/subs/inspectors/etc. or other issues that do not get discovered until you start construction. Issues can come up regardless of who your builder is. Jeremy is great at managing these unexpected *gotchas* and working through them to give you the best result. As an accountant I appreciate that he was transparent on the budgeting process to keep us apprised of where we stood at each stage of the building. Being able to see where we had over or under spent on our budget helped us to weigh decisions on extras or upgrades that we decided to add during the building process to get more of what we wanted. Other builders would have charged us huge change order fees for any of these upgrades or changes added after the construction started, which could have cost us way more. On our current home that Jeremy built, we had him come back to finish the basement where we decided to add a home theater screen and custom curved woodwork bench below the screen. Jeremy proposed a couple of ideas on the bench, but my wife really had set in her mind some sort of wood bench that curved out from the corners of the wall to the middle of the screen. The length of this bench posed some definite challenges to finish with the type of wood look that she wanted and we did not have any specific examples to show him of what she wanted other than to describe what was in her mind. Jeremy was able to take the ideas, consult with a couple of wood guys, and come up with a beautiful bench that really highlights the theater room. Needless to say, we chose to spend some extra money on this feature, but my wife is thrilled and the room turned out amazing!"

"Brian came across as very professional and was able to say whether he could or could not do a specific job.  He removed our old hot water heater and dishwasher and installed the new ones very quickly and professionally, leaving behind zero mess.  (a huge plus for anyone who has dealt with contractors!)  During the installation of the water heater, a cheap, existing tap valve supplying the water to our upstairs fridge malfunctioned and Brian returned the next day with a new tap valve in hand.  It has now been several weeks, and there are no leaks nor problems with either the dishwasher nor the hot water heater!  Two huge home improvements done in one afternoon.  Overall, we were very satisfied with the work and are always happy to support the small business owner!
