"I hired E&J landscaping for an ambitious project that required four types of lighting, a recessed fire pit, fencing, sprinklers, grass, concrete, two types of planters around the entire perimeter of my yard, and about a dozen different kinds of plants. Eric and his crew were respectful, communicative, and did a great job. Highly recommend."

"The job went well. It ended up being bigger than anticipated but Coyote Creek was great to work with and offered amazing customer service. They worked so hard and our yard looks amazing. They basically transformed it from an unusable nightmare to a beautiful haven. I recommend them for your landscaping projects."

It all started with a trip to the Azores of Portugal. RTA's co-founder went there to meet his wife's family… And had his first encounter with an outdoor kitchen. The charm of that kitchen went far beyond providing meals. It served as an inviting gathering space, and offered moments to break bread together.\n\nThe inspiration from that outdoor kitchen was bottled up and shipped back to the US. Unfortunately, there was a lack of accessible options in America in the early 2010's. Someone needed to rethink the conventional approach of construction. Thus began the journey, with a goal of remastering the outdoor kitchen.

"We had a serious issue with rain runoff settling our soil at our foundation. Joe and his crew were incredible!!! He replied immediately and came out the same day to bid. His assessment was spot on, very affordable for all they had to do, and they remedied our issue quickly and even impressed our builder Rep, who said how to fix it. Joe went above and beyond to make it so we’ll never have issues again!!! I can’t recommend Joe enough and honestly, I very rarely do online reviews, but with Joe, I just had to. Yes, he is that good,,,,TRUST ME. ?"

"These people are awesome. My project wasn’t very big but they worked me into their schedule. There were boulders that needed to be removed. It was a lot of work, but it was all done in 1 day."

"Very professional and friendly! I have used Waterstone Contracting in two of my homes for concrete work, a driveway extension and a walkway from my front porch to the sidewalk. We were very pleased with the finished project! Their concrete work is high quality and the cost was very reasonable. The office staff was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely hire them again for future projects. I would 100% recommend them!"

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

The best types of wood for outdoor kitchen cabinets are those naturally resistant to weather, water, heat, fading, and mold or mildew. Excellent choices include teak, mahogany, white oak, and Brazilian walnut. It's best to avoid softwoods like pine and cedar, as they are more susceptible to damage and can catch fire easily. For extra protection, ensure the wood is pressure-treated. Regardless of the wood you choose, you will need to apply sealants, oils, and stains regularly to protect your cabinets from the elements.

While it is possible to do this kind of project at any point in the year, save it for the mildest parts of winter if you can. That way, your backyard won’t be under construction during prime grilling season. Plus, contractors tend to be less busy on outdoor projects then, so you might get a better deal and the installation might take less time.

Cover appliances, clean surfaces regularly, and winterize plumbing before freezing temperatures.

Outdoor kitchens enhance entertainment space, increase home value, and provide convenient cooking in outdoor settings.

You can choose a few different options for outdoor kitchen sink drainage. You can install a dry well about 10 feet away from your home or patio or install a French drain closer by. You can also drain into your home’s plumbing system, but it is more costly versus using a dry well.
