"Erik and his team performed well and on time. He is professional, meets you at scheduled appointments, follows up with bids/estimates, and is well prepared. Most importantly, he is honest and trustworthy and keeps close to the bid and explains all additional costs necessary for the job. The job site is always clean and all workers very respectful and polite. He has done multiple jobs because we trust he will do a good job and charge fairly. It is without hesitation that we recommend his company. J and E"

"Juan and Alfredo are some of the hardest workers I've ever met. They, not only took care of our grading problem, they also transformed our backyard into our dream entertainment space. They were easy to work with and implemented all of our changes on the fly. Highly recommend."

"The job went well. It ended up being bigger than anticipated but Coyote Creek was great to work with and offered amazing customer service. They worked so hard and our yard looks amazing. They basically transformed it from an unusable nightmare to a beautiful haven. I recommend them for your landscaping projects."

It all started with a trip to the Azores of Portugal. RTA's co-founder went there to meet his wife's family… And had his first encounter with an outdoor kitchen. The charm of that kitchen went far beyond providing meals. It served as an inviting gathering space, and offered moments to break bread together.\n\nThe inspiration from that outdoor kitchen was bottled up and shipped back to the US. Unfortunately, there was a lack of accessible options in America in the early 2010's. Someone needed to rethink the conventional approach of construction. Thus began the journey, with a goal of remastering the outdoor kitchen.

"We had a serious issue with rain runoff settling our soil at our foundation. Joe and his crew were incredible!!! He replied immediately and came out the same day to bid. His assessment was spot on, very affordable for all they had to do, and they remedied our issue quickly and even impressed our builder Rep, who said how to fix it. Joe went above and beyond to make it so we’ll never have issues again!!! I can’t recommend Joe enough and honestly, I very rarely do online reviews, but with Joe, I just had to. Yes, he is that good,,,,TRUST ME. ?"

"We had Waterstone do a cinderblock retaining wall for us and they did an awesome job! We loved woking with Jamison and his crew; they were super responsive, answered our questions, and got the job done in under a week. We will definitely reach out to them again on other projects."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

The best types of wood for outdoor kitchen cabinets are those naturally resistant to weather, water, heat, fading, and mold or mildew. Excellent choices include teak, mahogany, white oak, and Brazilian walnut. It's best to avoid softwoods like pine and cedar, as they are more susceptible to damage and can catch fire easily. For extra protection, ensure the wood is pressure-treated. Regardless of the wood you choose, you will need to apply sealants, oils, and stains regularly to protect your cabinets from the elements.

The cost to build an outdoor kitchen averages around $15,500, but prices can range widely from $5,000 to over $52,000 depending on the project's complexity and features. Many projects fall within the $5,000 to $30,000 range. Since outdoor kitchens are highly customizable, several key factors influence the total cost, including the size and layout of the area, the quality of materials for countertops and cabinets, the number and type of appliances, the need for site preparation like land leveling or a foundation, and whether new utility lines are required.

An outdoor fireplace can add value to your home, with an estimated return on investment (ROI) of 56%. This luxurious outdoor feature will certainly appeal to buyers when the time comes to sell. And, of course, if you aren’t in the market, an outdoor fireplace will increase the livability of your home.

Deciding whether to buy a prebuilt fireplace kit or build one from scratch comes down to aesthetics, available space, and budget. Many homeowners like the convenience and lower cost of prebuilt options—around $1,500—versus the involved planning and construction of a larger fireplace. Another bonus: you can usually move prebuilt units. Custom projects are more common when homeowners have access to a larger budget and more area in the yard to place the fireplace.

In most cases, yes, an outdoor living space adds value to your home. The trick to your best return on investment is to choose high-quality building materials that will look nice and durable without crossing the line into total luxury that becomes cost-ineffective. For example, there’s no need to install marble tiles around your pool, but a durable and aesthetically pleasing deck will go a long way.
