Original Gorilla Glue is not a good choice for laminate countertops. To prevent Formica from chipping when cutting, use a sharp blade appropriate for the laminate surface. It also helps to score a line first. Another tip is to add masking over the line you plan to cut and ensure you are cutting the Formica face down.
