I am a general Handyman with a current EPA Universal Certification, which means that I am licensed to handle any and all refrigerants that are currently available. I am also a Journeyman Mason, handling all aspects of masonry. I am also very familiar with installing/running new wires for cable tv, as well as internet jacks, excluding fiber optic cable. Electricity and plumbing are another set of skills that I have, but I am not licensed in Texas to do anything requiring a permit in those fields. English and Spanish are my languages, with a preference for English.

"DUE TO PERSONAL ISSUES, I KEPT THEM HANGING FOR 10 DAYS. BUT WHEN I FINALLY GOT BACK TO THEM, SERVICE WAS VERY PROMPT, EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH THIS CENTRAL VACUUM AND THE INSTALLERS."
"High Tek Customs arrived on time to review the scope of the work. Told me it was a custom job and they would charge by the hour. I agreed to the price to reroute the wires and then showed him the TV & Bose system that the Xfinity installer could not get the sound from the Bose System. Within about 5 minutes, he reviewed the situation removed some excess wires and the TV had sound. Asked him what he wanted to charge me and he said "no charge". We set a date for next Saturday morning. When the Technician called but we were still out of the home dropping a car off at the repair shop. He left a note and a voice mail on our land line. Called him back and he told us he would return in a few minutes. He came back and within 2 hours the job was complete and the wires were well disguised along the base board. Hooked up the TV and left all in working order. Made sure they cleaned up all of the saw dust and wire droppings. I recently hooked up the media wires and all is now in working order. These guys know their stuff and I would highly recommend them for any Security or Media installations. "
Central Vacuum Systems questions, answered by experts
No. Only the hose or the attachments are portable in a central vacuum system. A portable vacuum is a standalone model like a stick, canister, or upright. A central vacuum system is defined by a central power unit, which is installed in one place like an AC unit, and the connected network of piping to funnel the suction.
A central vacuum system can be a worthwhile investment depending on your needs and budget. While the upfront cost is higher than a traditional vacuum cleaner, it offers significant long-term benefits. These systems can save you time and make cleaning your home easier, as you only need to carry the hose and vacuum head, eliminating the need to lug a heavy unit up and down stairs. They also tend to operate more quietly and can improve indoor air quality. The convenience and performance over many years may make it a valuable addition to your home if you can budget for the initial installation.
If your central vacuum has lost suction, you probably have a clog in the system. You can remove a clog yourself using a portable vacuum cleaner or central vacuum maintenance sheets. Stubborn clogs or damage to the system require a specialized technician to repair.
The best way to clean central vacuum pipes is to use a maintenance sheet to dislodge clogs and wipe the inside of the pipes clean. Alternatively, a professional can clean your central vacuum pipes for you.
Maintaining your central vacuum cleaner is crucial to extending its lifespan. Ensuring the filter is cleaned or changed often is vital to ensuring clogs don’t impact your motor. In addition, inspecting motor brushes regularly and lubricating the engine when needed helps keep it in tip-top shape. Finally, cleaning the central vacuum hose of dirt and debris helps keep clogs at bay, especially if you’ve vacuumed something wet or sticky.
