"I was losing confidence in the integrity of my home until Hercules stopped the settling of our slab foundation and reversed some of the damage caused by an uneven slab. Specifically, in my own living room, I was not supposed to be watching a 20 foot long crack develop in the ceiling and then expand to 1/4 inch wide. But on the day of the foundation lift, 2 dramatic improvements took place as the team of foundation experts hydraulically re-leveled the South end of the house. The wide gap in living room ceiling closed! A couple of inside doors all of a sudden latched for the first time in more than seven years! We feel like we can re-paint again inside, because results of painting will no longer be undone by future settling and cracking. Installing foundation support pillars underneath residence is no small matter, but after receiving 2 independent assessments documenting our tilted foundation I was confident that something had to change. Allen Alexander worked with us persistently until the project was done. Velocity of cleanup the day after the foundation lift was amazing. Allen responded quickly to my inputs. We opted for a comprehensive one-time reinforcement of our entire foundation. Some shrubs were lost and the foundation repair disrupted our lives for a few days, but I will no longer get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach every time additional foundation shift occurs. Complexity of the effort by Hercules was significant. We not only enjoy a level foundation now, but also took care of long delayed repairs to both bathrooms in our residence. "We had begun to notice cracks in the walls and a door or two that was fussy about closing. We knew that the problem was most likely foundation shifting due to the two long hot, dry summers of 2009 and 2011. We called three foundation repair companies based on research on Angie's list. All came and took measurements/readings and told us we had caught it early so the shift was minimal. Prices were all in the same neighborhood so that wasn't the deciding factor on choosing Land Stablizers. We were impressed at the explanations we were given describing what the measurements meant, what the process was, and warranty coverage. Land Stabilizers was the middle price we were quoted but we felt more comfortable with their approach. We have a deck across the back and one side of the house and of course, that was the part of the house that had to be leveled. We were told that they could remove the boards but because of past problems with splitting, they wouldn't be able to replace them. This was discussed before any contract was signed so it wasn't a surprise. We agreed to this and work began on schedule. The crew was professional and punctual. When the final leveling was to be done, there was a structural engineer on site to ensure everything went as expected. It did. One of the products of having a house leveled is a lot of loose dirt which is excavated to allow the piers to be placed under the low places. I was doing some landscaping on a hill in my yard and asked if they could put the dirt there. They not only put the dirt there, they leveled it which I hadn't expected. When the job was nearing completion, I noticed the workers were actually putting the decking back where it had been removed. About half way through the process, the crew leader came to me and apologized that they couldn't finish re-installing the decking because the tool he was using had broken. After the job was completed, the company followed up with calls to see if we were satisfied with the work and to ask about the quality of work. I also had them put a chemical land stabilizer all the way around the house. Other contractors planned to put it only where the leveling had been done"

"The Basement Kings finished their LARGE job this morning, and I can’t praise them enough! They had a long, difficult job, but no complaints. When they discovered a problem, they fixed it. No problem, that’s their job. They found the water problem had a lot to do with drainage, so they worked outside in cold & rain & developed a system to carry water away from the house. That, to me, was over & above, but they said their main objective was to get & keep the basement dry, so they did what they had to do with no complaints. Now you can’t ask for better than that - they give their all! I am totally amazed!!"
