"From the very beginning, Brian was amazing to work with. I wanted to install a projector along with Dolby surround in a challenging room set-up. Brian listened to what I was looking for and came back with an awesome solution. On the day of installation he and his crew were on time and did the job on time and on budget. Brian made sure I was happy with the installation and showed me how everything worked. He also followed up a few days later to make sure I was happy. I could not be happier with the work that Brian and YES Installation did!!"

"I called Oscar to install a whole house surge protector I had purchased online. He was able to install the device the next day. I had all the parts. Oscar had to cut a hole in the drywall and drill a hole thru the stud and into the panel ( not an easy job). Part of the problem was a full breaker panel, Oscar had to move 2 breakers to a sub-panel to make room for the new 50 amp breaker the surge protector needed. Oscar worked two hours to get the job done. He did a good job at a fair price, I would use him again. He installed my CUTLER HAMMER EATON CHSPT2 ULTRA WHOLE HOUSE BEST SURGE PROTECTOR."

"Gary's team did an excellent job removing our garden tub, installing the new one with faucet and re-tiling. The team took the time to cover up furniture and doors to keep out dust. They were very polite, worked hard, and did a fabulous job. We also had them cut an access panel in the garage ceiling just in case we needed access to the plumbing. They had to strip off the drywall mud tape in many areas. They re-textured the ceiling and painted. Excellent work. We will likely hire him in the future for our next kitchen project."

"This company was awesome. They came on time. They were very polite. I told them about my dryer vent they cleaned at no charge. They cleaned all my ducts and vents. I only have one AC unit. They also sanitized my whole system. Made my home smell and feel great. They also installed a Uv light system that kills germs in the air. I am very satisfied with this company and their techs. They are so polite and answered all my questions.

"This post is being shared as a mode of recommending. Perfection Roofing and Home Repairs. As a general contractors, they were great coordinator and communicators, even taking great pride in making sure we were apprised of all decisions. We were surprised to learn their estimates were even cheaper than we had expected. The project cost, 22K was 5K less than another reputable competitor.Senior citizens approach projects carefully, especially when new faces are involved. We felt comfortable at all times. A humanitarian side story involved how they took great care not to upset our aged dog."

"Great, guys came over to replace broken microwave. Issue was existing microwave was shorter than the new microwave; therefore , the existing tile needed to be trimmed back to allow the new microwave to fit. They took care of it in a few minutes - got the new microwave installed - and cleaned up as though nothing was done. Will definitely call them for future projects."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

It’s generally best to have your chandelier hang over the center of your dining table. If you’re installing your chandelier first or changing recessed lighting to a chandelier, you might find a table afterward and arrange the room around the chandelier.

If you’ve already furnished the space and are choosing where to place your lighting, hang the fixture directly over the table so everyone is well-lit while they dine.

For a 10-by-10-foot room, you’ll usually need between four and six recessed lights. However, this is a general figure because each space is different. In addition to your room’s square footage, it’s also important to consider other factors, like the purpose of the recessed lights. If they’ll serve as ambient lighting, you’ll need more lights than you would if you were using them for accent lighting.

A wall-mounting light fitting is called a sconce. Traditionally, sconces were placed along walls in a home to hold candles or torches for lighting. The electrical counterparts with lightbulbs serve an identical purpose, often lighting up hallways. Sconces come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Changing a light fixture mounted on a wall requires the same basic steps as replacing a ceiling light.

LED light strips might fall off your walls if the walls weren’t clean before installation. Make sure you clean and dry the wall first to remove oil, dirt, and debris that can keep the adhesive strip from fully sticking to the surface. If you cleaned the area and the LED lights are still falling, try installing fixing clips to keep the lights in place.

Depending on your preference, a 100W bulb could be too bright for a bedroom. Most people prefer softer, relaxing bedroom lighting using a lower wattage bulb, around 40W to 60W for incandescent or the equivalent in LED (around 450 to 800 lumens). For adjustable brightness, consider using dimmable bulbs or layered lighting with bedside lamps and overhead lights to create a comfortable and versatile lighting environment.
