This was the first time I had done major renovations. When I started talking to contractors to get quotes I found that they were telling me what I wanted instead of trying to give me what I thought I wanted. Gary was so different. He listened to me and wanted to understand what I envisioned. He gave suggestions on how to go about it and when he didn't think something was the best option, he always had a solution. He was very responsive and patient with all my questions. Enrique and his team were wonderful. They did an incredible job and were so kind and respectful of my space. Through the renovations, I was working from home and they made it much easier than I expected. I could not be happier with the results. My master shower is amazing! The garden tub was removed and the new shower encompasses the space of the old shower and the garden tub. It is long enough that it didn't require a shower door. It is everything I wanted. In the kitchen, the new countertops, cabinets and backlash are spectacular. The guest bath had an odd angle that actually looked like it may have initially been measured wrong! Gary was diligent in finding a great vanity solution that looks like it was made for the space. I would highly recommend Gary and I know if there is additional work I need in my home, Gary will be my first call!

Gary was very patient with us picking out or tile and floor and questions. He got back with us quick with the answers. Enrique did the work and was very nice also and did great work. Retextured the ceiling, installed floor and also tiled the new shower and installed cabinets, new toilet and shower doors. Also kept the house clean when they were working. I recommend them for all of that.

In a house that is 60 years old, no repair comes easily. We needed to have our shower pan replaced and repair damage to the subfloor. After talking with several people, we understood that the we were looking at almost a complete bathroom remodel. Gary was very helpful in the decisions that needed to made as to what would have to be replaced and what if anything we could keep. He offered us a reasonable estimate of the work the first day we consulted with him and he stuck to that estimate. Clearly he had done work in older homes and knew what to expect. His crew, Enrique and Jose ( with Charlie occasionally) were excellent. They were respectful of our home, diligent in their work and very attentive to detail. The team came routinely at the same time and left at a reasonable hour each day. Communication from both Gary and Enrique was excellent, each making sure they understood what we wanted. We are very pleased with the result.

Gary's team did an excellent job removing our garden tub, installing the new one with faucet and re-tiling. The team took the time to cover up furniture and doors to keep out dust. They were very polite, worked hard, and did a fabulous job. We also had them cut an access panel in the garage ceiling just in case we needed access to the plumbing. They had to strip off the drywall mud tape in many areas. They re-textured the ceiling and painted. Excellent work. We will likely hire him in the future for our next kitchen project.

We had a water leak in our shower wall and decided to just go ahead and do the whole bathroom. We had an original bathroom in a 1960s house that was just white. We sourced some mint green tile and other fixtures and Gary's team made it look like our dream 50s bathroom. Everyone on his team was great, respectful of our space and asked lots of questions to make sure they were doing what we wanted. When we are ready to remodel our kitchen we will definitely give him a call!

The crew that worked on my job was Enrique, Jose, and Humberto. They did a wonderful job, kept noise to a minimum if possible and kept the mess down as much as possible which was difficult given the work they had to do. Enrique has an eye for detail and perfection so everything turned out great. Jose is an absolute work horse continuously busy. Humberto wasn't here everyday as there was limited space during certain times. I couldn't be more pleased with the final results. Gary Grose Builders were very easy to work with. I was pretty hesitant to start this project as you hear so many horror stories about incomplete jobs and paying deposits and them never returning. I highly recommend Gary Grose Builders and would hire them again if needed. Planning to redo tile in my kitchen and plan to use Gary Grose Builders for that project.

What can I say about Gary? He and his crew were awesome. The work they did was just excellent and the crew was very conscientious in their work. You hear so many horror stories about contractors who come and take your money and then don't do the work they promise, Gary delivered exactly what he said he would. I am very fussy, and they never once made me feel that I was being unreasonable in what I was asking for. They came and took care of things promptly and with a wonderful attitude. My house looks positively wonderful! My kitchen is a show piece and the flooring and painting were done to perfection throughout the house.

Gary was very easy to work with and listened to what I wanted and adapted to the changes I made to the original design. He was able to give me a quote for the job and except for the changes we made, and a couple of unexpected fixes due to damage already existing within the walls, we stayed on target with the original quote. Gary's crew was professional and polite and easy to have around every day. They would consult with me on things if there was a question regarding the way I wanted it done. Gary and his crew were very mindful of our wood floors and made sure to protect them throughout the process. The overall project took less time than expected since we didn't have any major issues arise. It also helped that we had all the new appliances on hand so they could measure and make sure everything would fit properly. I had a design in my head and Gary and his crew made it come to life. It is exactly how i envisioned it. I will definitely call on Gary when we are ready to update the bathrooms in our home.

Our kitchen was over 20 years old and we really need it redone. Gary was great and very helpful. The work was delayed for a couple of weeks due to the cabinets not getting in on time. After they arrived they worked on it 6 days a week. we could couldn't be happier with our new kitchen..His worker were very nice cleaned up after the work was done. We are planning to redo one of our bathrooms. we'll be calling Gary to do the work. We redid out counter tops, and installed all new cabinets new appliances and repainting.

Gary Groce Builders did a great job on our kitchen re-do. Gary is easy to work with, and provides great ideas on how the job can be done efficiently. His crews do excellent work, and are meticulous about their work and cleanup. We were especially impressed with Enrique and his assistant Augustine -- Enrique is a craftsman in building cabinets and tile work, and made an extra effort to make sure that the end result is exactly what we wanted, down to the smallest detail. We thank Gary for a great job!

This was a major remodel of numerous areas – master bath, upstairs jack and Jill bath, and two bedrooms that were badly in need of repair. The project took approximately two months once the work began. It included demolition, foundation work, installation of cabinets, plumbing, wiring, painting, flooring and more. The master bath redesign called for a relocation of the shower that involved the removal of a possible load bearing wall and re-engineering of the plumbing. Gary has a great understanding of all areas of construction and is able to discuss all facets of the work in detail. He made multiple visits ahead of time to discuss various approaches and to deliver accurate estimates. The project was challenging regarding logistics, time-line, and securing of material. The numerous individual contractors included remodelers, plumbers, electricians, painters, tile layers, engineers and decorators. All were concerned with quality and had worked with Gary previously. Several times, additional contractors were utilized when the initial contractors were on other projects – that is to say that Gary has multiple contractors to call on. In addition, I hired an architectural engineer to evaluate the removal of the possible load-bearing wall, who agreed with Gary’s initial assessment. The two contractors who did the bulk of the work, and were there the entire two months were terrific to work with – conscientious, personable, and attentive and had broad expertise. Any time there was a question of how I wanted something done, they consulted me. An example would be placement of towel racks or how high to install a toilet paper holder. They had enough experience to understand men and women’s different preferences. At times, they guided me away from my original suggestions to better solutions. As expected in a project this large, there were changes made after the work began. Examples would be change in location of outlets, type of tile, etc. At one point after the wiring and support for a ceiling fan were set, I decided to move it – the crew had no hesitation doing it. Gary was at the work site consistently, overseeing the work. He was great about answering the many questions I had and accommodating my preferences. The master shower needed disability safety grab bars. Gary has a good understanding of the specific safety criteria. There were numerous times that called for creative problem solving. One example was the change of placement to the master toilet door. Another contractor had said the door placement could not be changed due to the available framing space, but Gary made it work. My own approach to this project was to be very involved, to the point of going to stone fabricators to approve final granite countertop pieces, individual placement of floor tiles, ordering mirrors, choosing paint and fixtures. I had the resources to order my own plumbing fixtures and a unique shower bench. Gary and his crews were very accommodating in my desire for close involvement and input. In one instance, I didn't like the approach the cabinet maker took to how the drawers closed (the use of magnets to provide a soft close – which is currently the most popular.) This took a visit to the cabinet maker to discover. Gary's crew was able to modify the drawers to my satisfaction. I’d like to share several pieces of insight I got from this. First, I had an interior decorator who helped make choices that were invaluable. Second, I had the time and opportunity to do a lot of research on things like types of fixtures, surfaces, and toilets. One example was a unique fold up shower bench that took me awhile to find. Although it took a lot of time and effort, I’m glad I did. A contractor can’t know every possible new product available (e.g. lighting fixtures,) or know what your particular preferences are unless you know what options are available and tell him. I’d advise the customer to do as much of your own research as practical. I wish I could have loaded the “before” photos to show the dramatic difference – the spaces truly have been transformed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gary again and when the time comes to remodel my kitchen, will call him.

Better than I could ever have imagined. I had already had 2 contractors give me a quote that was twice as much as the quote that Gary gave us. Gary was also nice enough to let us provide the tile and sink faucets where other companies would not. He listened to what we needed and did not try and talk us into anything we didn't want or need. My husband and I knew from the moment we met him that he was a trustworthy and competent builder. He gave us a timeframe for the project and told us about his employees Jose and Israel who would be doing the job. On the first day Gary came out with Jose and Israel and explained what needed to be done. He also came midway through the project and at the very end to make sure everything was done correctly. Jose and Israel were fantastic. They always protected the floors and walkways etc, to make sure nothing was damaged during the process. They came to work every day they said they would and cleaned up everything before they left. They've worked with Gary for many years and I know why he's kept them employed.....they are highly skilled at what they do. They finished within the timeframe they gave me. The project went flawlessly. Gary even contacted me a few weeks after to make sure everything was working as it should. We are having him come back and remodel other 2 bathrooms.

Extremely well, was kept up to date on everything. The one thing I didn't care for, was redone without problems. Israel, Melissa and Jose were great, even made sure the gates remained closed and kept an eye on our dogs. Everyone I know told me all contractors go over on the time they give you, but Gary was right on and we even added a few extra things to be done. Very satisfied.

I had a great experience with Gary and his crew. They really know their stuff and did a high quality job. They’re professional, worked hard to give me exactly what I wanted, and were great at giving suggestions and options when I was unsure of what I wanted. They were easy to work with and I love how my bathroom turned out (and my floor trim too). I plan on hiring them whenever I have my next remodeling project done.
