"I called them for a bid to remove a storm-damaged tree, the very polite receptionist took my information, asked if the tree was on my house or dangerous or in the immediate area. It was not. She then told me it would be a few hours before an estimator could get to my location. A few hours passed and she called back and told me he was on his way to arrive by 5 pm... BAM!. He arrived at 5. The estimator was very professional. He gave me a price and said he could be there in the morning around 7:30 to have it taken down and removed. Guess what? The next day, they arrived with three trucks, a full crew and all before 7:30. 2 hours later... it was done, cleaned, up and I had a very nice pile of mulch from the shredded and chipped up tree. Cannot say enough at how AWESOME they were. They took huge steps to ensure my fence or plants were not damaged. REALLY made me feel at ease. Very affordable, timely, professional!"

"These guys arrived right on time, went to work, were careful of the property and nests in the trees and were so polite. One of the big branches brushed the house and they fixed AND painted the boo boo. They were terrific, nice, honest and I was extremely pleased."

"Very efficient, quite knowledgeable, treated my trees, the surrounding lawn area below the trees then sprayed them as well. Too soon to tell if it will help, but I have confidence that it will. Dr. Bob was great to work with. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is one of his guys while treating the ground his a sprinkler line and I had to repair it. Other than that, a pleasant experience."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
