ATD Painting

We had a new custom kitchen installed in our house this year including new cabinets. The painter that sprayed the cabinets originally did a very poor job, orange peel, brush marks etc. We contacted ATD after finding them through Google and reading the positive reviews to see if they could sand and repaint the cabinet doors to achieve a better finish. We were assured by the salesperson that they could fix the issues and provide a much better finish in 1-2 days. We signed and submitted the quote October 29 and agreed on a date to start November 8th. We met with the salesperson and project lead the morning the project started, left a check for payment and then went out of town for three days providing them uninterrupted access to work. We received a text Saturday the 9th that everything was done except hardware and they’d come back to put the hardware on Monday the 11th. We came home to a mess with masking still up, doors not on etc. The worst part was how bad the cabinets looked almost all were even worse than before. Orange peel, drips, brush marks, rough texture, peeling paint, unpatched visible holes where cabinets had been hung to spray, overspray on counters, interior shelves, appliances etc. A supervisor came to review the next day, admitted the job looked horrible, had been subbed out, would need to be fixed, and returned our check. The work was so bad we considered just using a different company but ultimately decided that ATD had caused so many new issues they needed to fix it. ATD agreed to come back out and confirmed we were scheduled December 2 at 9 AM. The salesperson called the day before Thanksgiving and said ATD had changed his mind and would not be coming to fix their work. He stated his boss had tried to call me the week before and I had not responded. I did not receive any contact from anyone at ATD until the notice that they would not come back to fix their work. I was shocked by the unprofessional way this was handled and would avoid this company at all costs.

ATD exceeded our expectations! The owner takes COMPLETE PRIDE in what his crews are doing! The first crew that was sent out did not do what was up to the owners standards. When we called about it. ADT was lightening quick to respond! The owner sent out a whole new crew and all I can say is WOW!!! MY home looks amazing! I am so glad we choose a company that addresses concerns and makes sure we were happy! I will definitely use ADT and recommend them to anyone looking to have a painting job done! The are a gem in the construction industry!!!!

Great job on providing an estimate and scheduling the work. Team of four painters took two day to complete the work. Awesome job. House looks great.

I highly recommend ATD. We needed the exterior of our home painted. They did an excellent job to power wash and caulk before painting. Prep was timely. Crew was very professional and polite. The Supervisor Ken was extremely diligent on our walk through! I can hardly wait to get our inside patio fence painted. Super job! Thanks so much.

I highly recommend ATD. From the moment Adam arrived he was incredibly professional. He walked us through color choices and provided us with a fair and written estimate. The crew that arrived did an excellent job and completed ahead of schedule. We even added on extra rooms due to damage done by the previous owner before we moved it. They even filled some chunks missing from the wall. The paint looks beautiful and we can enjoy our new home in comfort. I would definitely hire them again! The price I’ve listed below was actually a great price for the large spaces that they pained so please don’t let that scare you. The house is over 4500 sq feet and the basically did the entire downstairs and two staircases. Also keep in mind that sometimes you get what you pay for. We couldn’t be happier.

THey are wonderful and did a perfect job. They moved everything out of the way and protected the carpets. They cleaned up and left nothing behind. I will definitely hire them again!

Everything went great, from my initial and subsequent meetings with J.C., to supervisors appearing everyday on the job, to nonstop workers painting. Took five days, and these guys did not let up! They had added difficulty in that my walls are faux painted and I wanted to ensure that they did not damage my walls in any way. They were very meticulous and took extra care to make sure that they taped off to the cabinets instead of the walls and then brush painted on the edges of the cabinets so as not to touch the faux paint, which could not be matched. Extremely pleased with everything! Great job!

Excellent, very good work!

When the job started the supervisor came by everyday in the morning and afternoons to check progress. They even texted us pictures while we were out of town. Once the job was done, we asked for a few touch ups and they handled them without hesitation. These guys did very high quality work, we were very impressed. The owner even came by at the end of the job to inspect the final product and make sure we were content.

The good - Over all the house looks great and the colors really pop.  
The bad - It took me 3 phone calls from me to get them to schedule a date to do the painting and then when I needed to reschedule, because I was unexpectedly going to be out of town,  it took 3 more phone calls to get them to reschedule the date.  I was told they would be at the house by 9 the day they scheduled and at 10 they still weren't there. There was rain in the area, but none by my house. I had to call to find out where they were, they didn't call to let me know they wouldn't be there. 
Once they started they worked quick, but I was told it would be a 1 1/2 day job and it turned into 2 full days. 
After they left I was checking the job and found there were paint splatters on the fence and paint on the brick porch floor. They also did not clean up all the caulk they pulled out, it was left on the ground and porches.  
Over all the house does look great, but there are some communication issues and clean up issues. I don't know if I'd use them again.

I contacted Jeff to come give an estimate.  He walked around and took measurements and gave me an estimate right away.  I called a few days later to accept the estimate and sign the contract.  We were open with our schedule for the actual work.  Victor and his crew showed up when stated and worked a whole day.  Jeff came to check on his crew and explain some things to me on the first day of work.  Victor and his crew returned the next day to finish the job.  Overall, excellent work.

They are excellent.  They had a guy who did can do it and there's no special price for that.  They're excellent detailed oriented.  They have eight people with one head man.  They're fantastic.  They gave three prices made.  They came on right with the others; but their offer is very much and I use the highest quality paint.  They guarantee it for three years.  He's name is Mike.  They're really good.  I would recommend them.  They were great.

I had an absolutely superb experience with ATD! Rachel provided an on the spot written estimate the day after I called. She even came out on a Sunday! After I called her back to accept the offer, she came back out and took her time helping me pick out colors and going over everything I needed done. She then had my house on the schedule within a week.

The crew that did the job showed up on time and were very professional. They completed the work very quickly and I was quite frankly amazed by their attention to detail. As the job was progressing, I was constantly checking for things they might need to correct. Before they were done, they had found every one of them and I never had to say a thing! Jeff, the owner, also came out to make sure everything was going as planned, as did Rachel. Special thanks to Omar, who answered all my questions and did a fine job making sure everything was completed to such a high standard.

The house looks great and I've received several positive comments from my neighbors. In summary, I'm extremely pleased with the folks at ATD and would highly recommend their services to anyone. I will certainly use them again in the future.

We found them on Angie’s List and we have used them a couple of times since then. The service is great. They are cheaper than anyone we have ever used and the quality of their work is really good. There was nothing to clean up. The painted the outside and everything was fine.

Prompt and quick.  I did have to point out a few places where they missed or splattered.  I felt as though they should have noticed, but they did correct issues as I pointed them out.

I called to discuss painting the exterior trim and entryways of my house. Rachel came out for an estimate just a couple days later. She looked at all the areas that needed painting, pointed out areas that they would repair (some I didn't even know about), and helped me select colors. They came out and did the work the very next day - cleaning, scraping old paint, making repairs where needed, caulking all the seams and windows, and finally painting. The crew was very polite professional, and the work was impeccable. I will definitely use them again.

I think they did a great job. Very professional, keep job site clean and cleaned up very well afterwards. Would recommend and will use again if needed.

It turned out good. I thought it was two coats and they only did one coat. The paint they used was good though so one coat covered pretty well. There were a lot of issues regarding when the service would take place, but they stayed in contact with me all the way through. They were timely when they did come out.

Very quick and responsive. Great job patching walls before painting.
