"James was very easy to locate and easy to work with. He explained everything in detail and completed the job in a few days of hiring. My fence looks great. I will hire again if I have fence/welding jobs."

"I hired them to build and install a entry gate and patio fence. I hired this company based on a telephone call with the owner Mike. No referral or reviews to fall back on but my gut said he would do what I needed done. What a pleasant surprise. They proved they are a solid veteran owned business. MS Welding were responsive and professional. Quality materials and build. Unlike many contractors I have worked with, Mike communicated with me throughout the process to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. My wife and I are so pleased with the end result. I would not hesitate to hire this company again. I just found out they do painting and concrete also. I have no doubt they do this type of work well."

"I was concerned at the beginning about the lack of precise details in the drawings and asked several times for detailed shop drawing before signing off on fabrication. They do no do more detailed drawings at any time. I based my ground preparation on the drawing and ended up with a gate that would not swing open wide enough to allow proper use. It was obvious that the direction of the gate swing (out vs. in) would have to be changed. NW asked for $400 to do it claiming that they needed to reconstruct the gate, move the hinges, ... I pointed out to them that the only thing that would have to be changed is two small metal tabs that the installation crew were going to weld on. This was correct but they stuck with the 400 quote expecting me to take it. I told them 'no', I'd do it myself. I did it myself after spending $50 to rent a welder for an hour. I did make assumptions about the gate based on their hand drawing so some fault is mine. But to try to stick it to me when they contributed to the error left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Beyond that, there was a comedy of minor construction errors that I had to have the crew come back and fix. Finials were the wrong size, a dozen minor touch ups were required, ... I could see that the crew was not given time to do the job adequately and was being hassled by their management. I think that they were perfectly competent but rushed by the company.
I like the fence, it wasn't a horrible experience but I would go with someone else the next time around.

"Stop looking for a fence contractor and hire these professionals now!!!! Don’t even worry about getting any other quotes… just hire these guys and sit back and relax. We just had our fence completely replaced and these guys are AMAZING. After speaking with Rey, we learned that everyone who does the work is employed by the company and not contracted workers, and it shows. They take pride in their work. Three gentlemen showed up on time and got right to work. They cleaned up all of mess and took all of the trash and old wood with them. It took them about 7 hours to complete the fence. The fence is perfect, they made sure it was straight and spaced evenly. The gate is amazing! It smoothly glides open and closed. Our neighbors also had their fence done and through all of the mass communication between us, our neighbors, and Rey, Rey was so helpful and patient. We had some miscommunication with our neighbors and Rey was extremely honest in resolving the issue. We will always use and highly recommend this company. For reference, the total fence we had replaced was 117 linear feet with one 4-foot gate. We had Postmaster metal posts and 6" wide Western Red Cedar pickets in the shadowbox style (pickets on both sides - so that costs more than just pickets on one side) and it cost about $4,200. Keep in mind this is during COVID19 in which there is a cedar shortage and wood prices have tripled. Amazing work at a great price!!!"

Welding questions, answered by experts

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Cutting round ductwork requires precision and the right tools. A duct cutter, specifically designed for circular ducts, is ideal. First, mark the cutting line on the duct using a measuring tape and pencil. Then, position the duct cutter's blade on the marked line. Apply steady pressure, rotating the cutter around the duct. The sharp blade creates a clean, precise cut. Alternatively, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade can be used for larger round ducts. Ensure the duct is securely held in place while making the cut to prevent slips and maintain accuracy.
