"Gary was the best. So meticulous and everything wash done to perfection. He has a great work ethic. Pricing was reasonable for the work performed. I am so very grateful for all the work he did. He also hauled off miscellaneous items that I no longer needed. Will definitely hire again."

"wanted to give credit where credit is due. We - me & my wife - decided to remodel one of our investment properties. It needed a lot of work ( roof, exterior & interior paint, drive way, floors, kitchen, bathrooms and of course plumbing and electrical ). It was a lot of work that was way over our budget based on the estimates that we had from 8 contractors. Until we contracted with KO Remodel. We made an appointment with Max who stopped by with 3 of his crew. It took them a couple of hours to come up with an initial estimate that we were able to accept. Let me tell you guys, at the end we were happy with the job. The cost was within our budget, the time to finish the project was reasonable. We gladly do recommend Max and his crew anytime."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

You should be aware of the current wallpaper and interior trends before hanging it, especially if you are planning on selling or listing your home soon. Do people in your market tend to prefer bold designs and accent walls, or does having a simpler print all over seem like a better idea? Lastly, you want something that appeals to your aesthetic preferences; hanging wallpaper is an investment of your time and money after all.

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.

While many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, they may not adhere as well in humid environments as traditional wallpaper. For best results, choose a vinyl or polyester-based wallpaper, as these materials are more durable and water-resistant. Good ventilation is also crucial to reduce humidity from steamy showers. In bathrooms with high moisture and inadequate ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.
