Cleveland Painting and Remodeling

Scott was prompt on initial contact.
 He gave me an estimate for painting the interior of the house along with
power washing the outside of the house, driveway and back patio.  I asked
for a written estimate, but only received an invoice for the entire project
when he came to collect 50% payment before starting the project.
 After giving him the check for 50% down (which he asked to be made out to him, and not
the company), he told me that the total did not include power washing the
outside of the house, driveway, and patio, and it would be an addition
$1,500.00.   We reluctantly agreed
on the additional $1,500.00 upon completion of the project.  Scott was
supposed to show up on Monday at 9:30 a.m., but did not show up until 12:30
p.m., after a couple of calls and text from me to see where he was.  He
said he was running a little late, and the first day was always hectic.
 He and his crew, of one, started around 1:00 p.m.  Scott left after about 1 hour and left his
painter to work alone.   The painter did not even complete one ceiling in
a small back bedroom and left around 3:00 p.m.  The next day they showed
up on time at 9:30 a.m. and worked until 3:00.  Scott said they would be
complete with the interior of the house early Thursday, but did not complete
until Friday afternoon.  Scott was supposed to show up the following
Monday to start the power washing.  He did not show up, I called him and
he said that he did not show up because it was supposed to rain.  It did
not rain that day.  He did not show up the next day (still no rain) and
said he would let me know when he would be back.  He never called again.
 We ended up over-paying him $360.00 and never had a final walk-through on
the interior work that was done.  The quality of the work was average at
best.  He was very unprofessional and irresponsible. We had to get
another contractor to finish the project.

I called Scott late Tuesday afternoon, he showed up on Wednesday morning (right on time), we worked out the details, and he came Thursday morning (right on time, again) and completed the project in a few hours.  He was extremely professional in his communication and at his work.  He made sure everything was done properly.  He made suggestions that were very helpful.  He was honest, friendly and very knowledgeable.  I am sure we will hire him again and we would not hesitate to recommend him to our friends.  He is simply awesome...

It was okay. I guess I liked the whole thing. He was a little bit pricey and then they overestimated on the siding, and reimbursement back on what we had paid him to go out and get the siding. I'm sure he just kept it probably for prior use of something else. He was very responsive. If I could find it cheaper I will probably do it. We will go with whoever is cheaper.

Met Scott one morning at Sherwin Williams, he followed me to the home and gave me an estimate on the spot.Started  as agreed and finished two days ahead of schedule. Final price matched estimate.

This is the first time I have hired someone to paint and it turned out better than expected. Called Scott on a Wednesday morning and he came that same day to give us a quote. He then spent the next day and a half painting 3 rooms and they turned out awesome. He was very polite and answered any questions we had. He even offered to give us helpful hints on painting next time we DIY'it after he noticed that we had done double the work upstairs (we did a few rooms by ourselves before we got too exhausted and decided to call for help). 
He was very quick and clean. Would definitely call him again if we decide to undergo a massive painting project in the future. Highly recommended.

Crew showed up right on time and worked thoroughly to complete the job in one day. Slight problem with texture matching that wasn't noticed until the next day. Scott (the owner) came out himself on our schedule to make the fix.
Just a couple of small areas missed on the painting but overall the work was excellent at a very good price.

The overall experience was excellent.  He came out within 2 hours of our call on a Friday afternoon to give us an estimate for the work we were looking to have done on Monday.  He was punctual all three days and his work was excellent.  He happily kept our lab company each day and we will definitely use him again in the future.

Very experienced.  However, on several occasions, felt like I was a burden to owner since I wasn't a "money maker" customer.  Got the impression that owner was overwhelmed with both Angie's list deals and his regular customers.  Probably didn't expect as big of a response from Angie's list deal. Overall, great quality with so-so service.

Scott was very professional, very easy to work with, very thorough and did a super job. He and his team were very friendly, very careful and really did an excellent job. They were happy to touch up as needed, and were really great. Their price was excellent and well worth it. I would surely recommend them and use them again.

Scott and his guys were the absolute BEST.  I've never been more pleased with a contractor from start to finish.  I was in a huge hurry to get the work done because I needed to get my house on the market for sale.  Scott got his guys out there very quickly and exactly when he said he would.  The work was done exactly when he said it would be done.  The quality was excellent, and I couldn't be more happy with the entire experience.

Mr. Scott Cleveland and his guys did an excellent job of staining our house and detached garage. It was a very labor intensive job with a lot of challenging conditions related to applying the stain. They worked around the weather and humidity, along w/ detailed directions for applying it and maintained a positive attitude throughout the process. The results were great and I am a VERY picky client. I would highly recommend Cleveland Painting and Remodeling if you are looking for a reasonable price with quality workmanship. We will certainly be calling him for future projects.

I can't speak highly enough of Scott and the way he does business.  I was in a hurry to get my rental property turned around quickly, but on an extremely tight budget. Once we came to an agreement on the work and price, he started immediately.  He even found me a carpet guy and took care of that, as well.  They did a fantastic job.  The painting looks great! Neat, and clean.  I couldn't be happier.  I will call him again the next time a tenant moves out!  Total turn around was less than a week.

Purchased 2 people for 4 hours. They painted an area around the stair that was difficult to reach and repaired and painted some water damage. They did a good job and my main regret was that they finished over 1.5 hours early so I lost 3 hours. They made it sound like the original job could probably be done in 4 so I did not add any other work which I had other work that could have been done. Maybe that was my fault for not mentioning. |Overall good work.

I called Scott and he came out the same day and gave me an estimated. Great prices, he started the next day and did a supreme job. He did everything as we discussed and more. It is a breath of fresh air to be able to find a contractor that has his work ethic. I will recommend him to anyone looking for a painter and will also use him again for myself.

Coupon deal was excellent! Scott Cleveland was a nice person in addition to being a professional painter. Everything was done to my satisfaction. He was accommodating of my schedule changes to work around other contractors.

The 3 man crew would show up each and every morning at 8am. They worked hard and fast and performed very high quality work in our home. They handled surprises very well when they opened up the walls and found all the termite damage done to the studs. They had to rebuild the entire baseplate and all the studs. The next surprise they found was before they removed the walls, they determined it will now need to take 3 large beams in the attic to support the removal of the walls. But they worked hard (and smart) and overcame all the obstacles and still came in BUDGET!!! Scott estimated all the work would take 30 days and he was right on. Yes, in 30 days time, he performed all the intense demo work removing the entire old kitchen gutting it completely. Then they wonderfully performed the re-build including new water and gas plumbing, new insulation, sheetrock, pony wall, lighting, electrical, texture and painting.
My wife and I both think they did a wonderful job. We look up at the ceiling now and we cannot tell there was ever a wall there before. They were able to match the texture perfectly and the painting was a perfect match. We both loved Scott's crew... all real nice and hard workers and we never once heard a cuss word out of them.
I would highly recommend Scott Cleveland to others. He is a wonderful Christian man that does everything he tells you he is going to do and will not rip you off. He is also very quality orientated. The day before the project was done, he asked us to make a list of anything we see that we would like him to correct and he completed everything on our list to the tee.
I think the best thing I liked was that he never asked for more money. He stuck right with the original bid even when they discovered certain surprises. Without a great contractor like Scott, we could never have had our dream kitchen within our tight budget.

I purchased a big deal for this company.  It did not go well.  I would not recommend them.  I couldn't get them to schedule.  It took me a month to get them to even come to the house, one.  Two, it was like I got bigger jobs, to a customer I don't care about your other jobs, I want to get my job done.  You can't just reschedule and reschedule because you have some other job or what ever.  If I had known what I know, I would never have done it.  The thing with Angie's List with him was people would come for the $200 job and to him I don't think he thought it was worth it, I don't know, but he didn't seem to really want to do it.  The job was rushed.  I've got discolored walls, I had to go back and redo them myself.

Scott is very professional, friendly and personable. Scott and his helper Jimmy did an excellent job. I will definitely be calling on him to do more work on my house!

The work was started on schedule and was completed in a timely manner. The quality of work was good however I did have to point out some areas that were overlooked. These were promptly taken care of.

Scott painted my exterior last month. he did an excellent job. So I got him back this week to paint my interior rooms. Once again I recieved excellent service. He arrived on time, the finish job was great, and he cleaned up afterwards and left my house looking like it was new inside. the only problem I have now is it looks so nice inside my wife is talking about buying new furniture. I will definitely use Scott again and recommend him to my friends. Good Job Scott!!!! I see you have a new coupon. I may just buy it and let you paint my garage. I guess I better start savine to buy my wife a car pretty soon.
