"Once again Aaron’s Painting and Remodeling did a great job for us. The last time it was sheetrock repair and interior painting. They did a great job with everything and matched the ceiling texture nicely. This time Aaron and his crew power washed our concrete driveway, sidewalk & patio plus they removed mildew from our bricks. They also installed a window shutter for us. Everything was done great. Aaron and his crew work hard and they are reliable, friendly, and customer oriented."

"They were very professional. They came in matched my color to the cabinets perfectly. If you want a big project that involves your kitchen cabinets refacing I highly recommend The Home Depot. I never went to the store everything was done in my house. Great Job."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"We recently purchased a home in which the previous owners had installed a wood floor in the master bedroom but did not carry the wood through to the master closet which was still carpeted. They left several boxes of wood and it was still in stock in case we needed more. We wanted to use that wood to complete the master closet, just over 100 square feet.
We contacted three companies - the company who completed the work for the previous owner which looks great (#1), and Floor It Today (#2) and one other company (#3) from Angie's List. I understood this was a very small project and there would be a minimum labor charge for a company to show up and do the work making the cost higher per square foot than for a larger project. We have installed wood floors previously, two nail-down and one glue-down, but wanted to contract this work anyway so we could focus on the move. The previously-hired company came in with the highest bid. Floor It Today and #3 has comparable bids but #3 offered their quote over the phone. The Floor It Today representative, Ahmed Mirza, visited our home in person to take measurements and answered all of my questions about the adhesive they would use; % wastage he predicted for a space this shape (so I would know how many more boxes I would need to buy); and scheduling forecast.
The work was scheduled for only six days later. This was fantastic because we were leaving the space empty until the work was completed but I wanted to unpack.
The installer, Alex, rang the morning of the work to let me know he was on the way and he arrived on time. He did a great job. As I mentioned before we have installed several wood floors previously and I am very particular. He did a good job of staggering the cuts on adjacent boards; minimizing materials waste; and cleaning the work space. He went back over several small areas with either a blade or orange oil to remove any speck of adhesive I saw. He also removed white caulk from an area where the wood floor touched a support wall in the closet (that was cut to fit the floor under it) and caulked it again with a brown caulk that better matched to flooring. All of this touch-up work was completed with zero grumbles or "are you serious?" looks.
Also, during the day Ahmed stopped by to check on the progress of the work and my satisfaction.
In summary, I am VERY pleased with the result and would recommend them for large projects based on the quality of work and customer service.

FAQs for closet service projects in Sealy, TX

Building a custom closet costs about $2,000, on average. Because many types, sizes, and designs are available, the cost to build custom closets ranges from $250 to $6,000 or more. A reach-in closet is on the lower end of the price range from about $250 to $1,500, compared to a walk-in closet at $750 to $3,500 or a wardrobe at the high end between $1,500 and $6,000 or more.

The main difference between a closet and a wardrobe is that a closet is a separate room for general storage with its own door, and a wardrobe can be either built-in or freestanding place to store clothing. A walk-in or reach-in closet connected to a bedroom often serves the same purpose as a wardrobe by primarily storing clothes and shoes. A built-in wardrobe often does not have doors and leaves clothes exposed to view, whereas a standalone wardrobe usually has doors.

You may need a building permit to add a closet, depending on the size and kind of work required to install it. The most likely scenario requiring a permit involves changing the structure of the house and performing electrical work for closet lighting. A permit can cost between $100 and $450. If you’re installing a smaller reach-in closet, a permit may not be required, but always check with your local municipality and consult a closet designer or builder.

Different types of closets are defined mostly by size. A few different types of closets include:

  • A reach-in closet is a smaller closet that you can stand in front of and reach everything inside it. Aside from the size, the doors and the level of drywall finish are typically the largest price factors.

  • A walk-in closet can be anything from a small 5-by-5 feet closet that has a narrow walkway with shelves on both sides to a 100 square foot bedroom-sized closet with shelving along the walls and plenty of room to move around in.

  • A built-in wardrobe often does not have a door and leaves the clothes and other contents open to the room, whereas a closet usually has a door to separate it from the rest of the room.

Yes, building a custom closet can definitely add value to your home. Creating a more useful and pleasing space to your home, especially a custom closet for prospective home buyers to imagine as their own, is likely to increase the value. However, avoid overdoing it with a closet that takes up too much space that’s otherwise more useful as living space, or paying extra for overly lavish materials and finishes that aren’t likely to add more value than they cost.
