He blamed it on a faulty temperature sensor or bad control board and left it in manual mode. After he left, I read through the installation instructions and figured it out. The software for the heater was not configured properly to recognize the signal coming from the control board. "Our waterfall motors generally do not last longer than one summer.  Previously, we had been told the motor was too large, too small, etc.  He told us the reason the waterfall motors did not last was due to calcium buildup, and this situation could be prevented by running it every day.  The heater works well (we bought over the internet) and the installation took less than one day.  The prices were reasonable and employees were punctual.  We were pleased with all the repairs/installations made.  However, it takes a great deal of time and effort to contact/get a response from this company.  Generally, the voicemail is full and calls are not returned until two or more days later.  We found this frustrating but others may not.

"They arrived on time and advised the most logical placement of the fixtures. The deal was for the install of 4 recessed lights at $499 and I wanted two extra, which they charged an extra $340 for. I thought this was a little high since they were already cutting holes and running wire and the cost of the actual LED light fixtures is only about $25 at Home Depot, but I needed it done, so I went ahead with it. They also had to drill two extra holes in my kitchen ceiling where no lights were placed in order to run the wire because of the way the beams in my kitchen ceiling ran. They did this without telling me, but since I already needed to have sheet rock repair done on my kitchen ceiling, it was not a big deal. The only real complaint I have about the work was that they left quite a bit of mess behind (sheet rock dust and pieces). Overall, I think they did a good job and I would hire them again."

"Bryan came over to assess the project and he was very friendly and was also very knowledgable. He told me exactly what would be done and made sure to answer any questions I had. We set up a time for his tech to come complete the work. When the tech/plumber arrived the next morning he was also friendly and knowledgeable. He completed the work in about three hours (which included a brief run to the hardware store to buy parts) and made sure everything was perfect and with no leaks before leaving. In my opinion, one of the best things about this company is their desire to educate the pool owner. Both men that came to my house taught me several valuable things about keeping up my pool. As a new pool owner, I was so grateful for the tips and information. When I have something go wrong with my pool again, I will definitely be giving Norris Pools a call."

"It was okay.  They did okay.  I believe they were on time.  They just came out to do the job.  They came out the first day, they came the second day to make sure that it was okay until we have cancelled the service.  Overall, I would say that they did an average job.   

I paid an additional charge.  I had to clean up after.  The work itself was okay but we did some things after the first install.
