"We used 1st Rate Pool Service for several repairs when we were putting our house on the market.  During the course of the work we had the pleasure of getting to know James and several of his employees.  I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to work with James and his team.  They were honest, hard working, did great work and became like family.  After dealing with several vendors I would never deal with again during the course of putting the house on the market, I can tell my fellow Angie's List vendors this is a vendor you can trust and you most definitely should use.  The pool service might be a touch more expensive than other services but it was totally worth it.  Our pool never looked so good!

"Daniel did a great job.  Tub looks great and he took good care to not mess up the bathroom.  There was a bit of overspray but he cleaned most all of it up.  Tub looks great and now the renters want the name of the company for their mother-in-law's tub.
This was rental property and I will use them again on other properties.
Price was reasonable.  I had trip charge because I was far away but overall cost was still reasonable.

"Brendan went out of his way to show me how to care for my new pool! He took the time to teach me how to check the filters, test the water, clean the baskets, and run the vacuum! Then he gave me a killer deal to do it for me!!! No money was required for this first visit. I did give him a tip and signed a contract! Great guy!!! Highly recommended ☺️"

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.
