"Edgar, the owner, came and looked at what I wanted painted. Mainly touchups and shelf painting. He suggested power washing. I got a price in a few days. The bid was for another property that I do not own. I told him and Amber (his secretary, I guess) that was not my property. I kept getting price revisions for someone else s property. Finally, I got a bid for my property. Told him the price was way too high. He cut the price in half. I later realized he had simply eliminated painting the shelves, something I needed done. We kept texting back and forth, trying to agree on what would be painted and what it would cost. He offered to do some power washing. We kept negotiating on price. No price or services included was ever agreed upon . One day Edgar called and said his guy was out there power washing. I was not home. I never agreed to any power washing as we had not finished negotiating. . Like I said, we were still negotiating. Naturally, I never expected work to start until we agreed on items to be included and price. He started talking very fast and very loudly. I kept telling him to slow down because I could not understand him. He kept yelling and talking fast. I told him I sensed he was angry but I could not understand what he was angry about. Then he hung up. I had taken pictures of the supposed work that I never agreed to. One is a wiping of my porch. Clearly it was not cleaned. The other is the deck still full of bird droppings. These were taken AFTER the supposed work . Amber sent me a bill for $2,500.today. Absurd amount. For power washing that was poorly done? I sent copies of these pics and told her I had never authorized anyone from their company to do any work on my house. She said if I did not pay the $2,500 they would put a lien on my property."

"These guys are the very best, most knowledgeable painters I’ve ever encountered in my life. They are responsive, fair, professional and they went above and beyond for our home. I would definitely recommend them. We had a laundry list of home improvement items that we had tried to fix ourselves, and they were able to literally give my home a facelift. Everyone who has come over has instantly noticed. The quality of paint is exactly what we needed. Nick listens to your needs and is a wealth of information if you have any questions. Over 27+ years of experience in commercial and residential work. Decks, bathroom and kitchen remodels, lawn services, fences, etc we can pretty much handle most home/rental needs. My father-in-law served 5 tours in Vietnam. He thinks I'm good enough to marry his only daughter there's no better reference than that. We are family owned and operated and want to help bring your visions for your home a reality.

Exterior Painting questions, answered by experts

While no-VOC paints don’t contain the chemical compounds that are toxic when they’re outgassed, they can still have an odor. This is because odors can come from other chemicals in the paint that aren’t classified as VOCs. Again, ventilation is key, especially if you plan to sleep in the room on the same day as you paint.

To estimate the cost to paint interior walls, multiply the square footage by the average price range to paint interior walls, which is $2 to $6 per square foot. For example, a 12-by-12-foot room with 8-foot tall walls is 384 square feet, meaning that the cost to paint the room will range from $768 to $2,304. Painting the ceiling and any trim will add to the overall cost, as will any repairs.

The type of paint you use on concrete influences how long it will last. Epoxy paint can last as long as 30 years and often comes with a warranty for at least 15 years. Another factor impacting the longevity of the paint is how much wear and tear the floors receive, such as heavy machinery or constant foot traffic, which can shorten the life span.

New plaster must be fully dry and cured before painting. The drying time for plaster ranges from 1 to 4 hours, but the curing process can take more than five days, depending on various factors, including humidity levels, temperature, the amount of plaster used, and airflow in the area. You should always apply primer before painting plaster.

Yes, painter’s tape is a great tool when painting trim and walls for a number of reasons. Firstly, it protects the areas you’re not painting. Both brushes and rollers can splatter. Nobody’s hands are perfect, so covering the areas you don’t want paint to get on keeps them clean. Painters tape can also help you get nice sharp lines between paint colors or surfaces, preventing paint from bleeding into other areas. It can also save you time in the long run by reducing the need for touchups. It’s much easier to get clean, even lines the first time when using painter’s tape.
