"Highly recommend GA Plumbing. Gary is extremely reliable and does top notch work. I have used him multiple times for a variety of projects and he is consistently dependable. His rates are lower than any chain out there and he outperforms all of them."

"Zach came over the same day I called and did a great job. He took the time to figure out what was really going on - bathroom sink leak - and also cleaned out the clogged pipes. I’ll be using his services again for sure."

"Looked at several foundation companies but decided to go with Foundation Support Specialist and I'm glad I chose them. The crew, Christopher Garcia foreman, Justin Hill co-foreman, Austin, Frank and Hector were professional, respectful, courteous hard workers. I was really please the way they tackled a mortared brick flower bed to get to install the piers. They reassemble it perfectly. Chris was really great about answering all my questions and he explained the process thoroughly as I looked on during some of the installation. Clean up was well done. Job well done by all ."

"I have a private area in a condo complex with drainage and erosion problems and overgrown hedges that had reached to my second story. Even though this was a small, one-time job, Abel treated it like it was important. In addition to being thorough and priced fairly, Abel was responsive and fast. Within two days of my contacting him, he had addressed the drainage with rock/gravel and gotten the hedges under control. He even added in some lovely Knock Out rose bushes to class up the area.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of things you can do to help prevent your French drain grate from clogging. First, keep yard debris clear so it doesn’t wash into the drain and clog the grate. You can also install a screen or filter over the grate to prevent large pieces of debris from entering the access point.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

There are several signs that can indicate your leach lines are broken, failing, or in need of repair, including puddles of water or a marshy consistency to the ground above or around the pipes, slow drainage or plumbing backups inside your home, and noticeable odors or gurgling sounds coming from your leach field. Keeping your septic system properly maintained, including having your septic tank pumped at regular intervals, can help ensure your leach lines stay in good working order for a long time.

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.

On average, a plumber will take 30 minutes to two hours to clear a clogged drain. If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. If the clog is deep within your plumbing system or is a severe blockage, it can take two or more hours to remove the clog. For this reason, main line clogs tend to take longer, usually between two and three hours.
