"Oscar and crew did a magnificent job on my front yard. They completely changed the appearance of my house. Just by removing the mulch and installing the right size of stone has changed the appearance of the entire front of my home. Oscar & crew are professionals who take professional pride in their work ethics and abilities. I'll be calling them soon for my next project. Thank you guys, and God bless you, one and all."

"This is a fantastic business. I requested several bids from San Antonio businesses for removal of several dead trees & stumps, complete trim of all trees, additional brush removal, and build a new gate. Pablo was first to contact me and came to the house within a day to provide an estimate. The proposed cost for the work was in alignment with other bids I received. I reviewed the BBB review and the rating was excellent. Further reviews of Home Advisor, Yelp, and Angie's List were all positive. I hired Neighborhood Lawn Care and am happy I did. Pablo and crew arrived on time and started working right away; this was a large job and they spent the entire day working on the trees and brush removal. They even trimmed my bushes, cleaned out my gutters, and cleaned out the trampoline for my kids (these are all extras they did!). All crew members were extremely polite and respectful. The tree work is fantastic, the canopy looks amazing and I can see my house again. They were phenomenal and professional. They came to replace the gate on a separate day and it looks beautiful and functions as it should. On both days the cleanup was superb and I will definitely hire this company again."

"I had several trees that were dry and dead, one of them had a large portion of the tree blown down by the wind. Fortunately it fell away from the shed. B Martinez did an excellent job removing the trees and the tree stumps. They also removed tree stumps that were there from a previous tree removal from a few years ago. They cut up the tree trunks and limbs and put everything in their trailer. They even took a big pile of brush and tree limbs that I had piled up. They also did a fine job trimming all my other trees. They cleaned up the area and left the yard looking very nice. They did everything the same day and at a very reasonable price. I am 100 percent satisfied with their work."

"Mr. Luna said he would haul of all tree brush and limbs over 8 inches. after he was done I noticed he had stacked tree limbs and trunks about 2 feet thick and 15-18 inches high. I asked him to take them and he and his workers told me I should keep them as I could chop them up and use them for my pit. I do not know why he would not take them except that his trailer was full and this was a lot of wood I would not use them again."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Typically, the best type to trim bushes is when they’re dormant. Winter and late fall, potentially even early spring are the best times to trim your bushes. These seasons allow you better access to the branches, as all leaves are gone and the branches are more brittle, making the trimming process easier.

Lazy composting involves putting leaves, grass clippings, and plant trimmings in a corner of your yard and letting nature take its course. There is no turning, watering, or balancing green and brown materials. It’s a low-effort, long-term approach that can take up to one or two years to create finished compost. It is perfect for gardeners who don’t mind waiting and want a no-fuss way to repurpose organic waste.

If you don’t have too many fallen leaves, one option is to leave them in place. They’ll eventually decompose, adding vital nutrients to the soil. But if you have a thick layer of leaves smothering your lawn, you’ll want to either mulch them or bag them up for removal. If you choose to collect and bag your leaves, check with your local municipality on any specific guidelines to dispose of them. Many cities offer curbside pickup if the leaves are disposed of in yard waste bags or containers.

It’s possible to over-mulch leaves. If the leaf mulch is thick enough that it’s blocking and smothering the grass, that’s a problem. Ideally, you should still be able to see the grass when you’re done mulching to ensure its ability to continue growing. The solution is to make another pass at the top layer of leaf mulch to collect some of the top layer.

Yes, renting a dumpster is one of the most effective ways to remove yard waste. The average cost to rent a dumpster is $400 per week, but it usually costs less for yard waste removal because you should only need a small dumpster. A more cost-effective alternative is to use dumpster bags for yard removal, especially when clearing lighter debris like leaves, branches, grass clippings, and weeds.
