"I called several glass companies for window replacement and Keen was by far the best estimate I received. They were also responsive and friendly. Everything they said they were going to do... they did. The team that came out to replace the window was great and got the job done fast. Great quality work along with integrity. Would definitely use again!"

"Working with Adam and his dad Mark Shinners was a wonderful experience. Great people, customer friendly, good pricing and professional. Our project was delayed because of COVID-19, regardless Mark kept us informed on the status of our windows. The windows and kitchen door with doggie door were installed by Scott and his son, both very professional, hardworking, courteous and punctual. I have to say it was a pleasure having them in my house. They did a great quality job installing the windows along with the detail framing around them and the new kitchen door with doggie door is just right!! If you are thinking of installing new windows or need a new door with a doggie door, give Mark Shinners a call, you won't be disappointed!!"

"I cannot speak highly enough of Canopy Roofing. From the initial contact to roof completion, there was ZERO stress or worry! Immediately after my initial contact, staff came out to assess the issue. Harris was extremely pleasant and professional and prompt. He explained to me what problems he found with the roof and how the process would go. He also came back and did a temporary fix so that I would have no more puddles in my floor with more rain. He also came back to meet with the insurance adjuster. Once again super pleasant and professional. Chris was extraordinary in the process as well. He talked me through how the process would go. He followed up with me checking to see if the insurance adjuster had scheduled and also checking with the insurance directly following up on their decision for the claim. Chris sent me a link where I could pick the shingle color I wanted and even was able to show me what it would look like on my house! Customer Service is impeccable! Chris is extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained everything to me as well as addressing any concerns or questions that I had. The staff that performed the roof replacement were super considerate and caring of my property- making sure to move items in my yard and cover them so nothing would be damaged. They were all professional and considerate. When they were finished, they cleaned EVERYTHING up. I could not even tell they had been there, except for my shiny new roof!!!! I am so impressed and truly thankful for such a great experience and my new roof is beautiful!!!"

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

On average, it cost $2,900 to rescreen a patio, porch, or sunroom, with homeowners paying anywhere from $800 to $5,200. The cost to rescreen a porch, patio, or sunroom enclosure depends on the size of the enclosure, the extent of the damage, and the materials used to replace existing screens.

Yes, if you have ventilated skylights, you can install insect screens on them. Insect screens for skylights cost $10 to $50 each, depending on their size and quality. Most pros highly recommend insect screens for ventilated skylights because they keep pests outside of your home while allowing fresh air inside.

The cost of a window repair varies significantly depending on which part is damaged. Here is a breakdown of common repairs and their estimated costs:

  • Broken seal or fogginess between panes: $70–$245

  • Cracked pane: $40–$100

  • Broken glass: $200–$2,000

  • Sash, seal, or track repair: $200–$600

  • Latch or hardware issues: $75–$200

  • Broken window frame: $175–$1,000

  • Window screen replacement: $140–$480

Yes, you can fix windows without replacing them. However, this will depend on the severity of the issue and what your needs are. Minor water damage, broken glass, damaged casing, and worn caulking are usually easy repairs. But if there is excessive damage, the windows are constantly foggy, or the windows are very old, it’s best to consider replacing them. Replacement windows cost between $575 and $1,475 per window, or an average of $850 per window.

If you’re not an experienced DIYer, consider hiring a local patio repair contractor to rescreen your porch or sunroom. Unless you’re only repairing a small rip or hole, this project is not an easy job. A professional can also make recommendations for materials that will work best for your porch.
