"On Sunday September 4, 2022, a storm caused a large branch to fall from a cedar elm tree in my backyard and it landed partially on my house. My wife called for a tree service (Texas Tree Surgeons) as I was out of town to remove the branch and an estimator was sent to our house. The estimate of work was $600 being given. My wife gave her authority for the work to be done believing that this was a major job based on the estimator’s description of what would be done. The crew from Texas Tree Surgeons arrived on September 6th at 2:55 PM and were done with their work and left at 3:20 PM. We have Ring video to confirm the times. Upon receiving the invoice from Texas Tree Surgeons, I was shocked that it was for the full $600 as the scope of work completed was very minor and took around 20 minutes. I called Russell at Texas Tree Surgeons regarding my concern on September 9, 2002 and sent him pictures and verification of the time his crew spent. I asked that he considered these factors and if that was fair. He replied to me the next day that he stood by the evaluation of $600 and would not consider any adjustment. I believe that this is a case of taking advantage of us the consumer by overstating the scope work that would be done and increasing the cost of the job because of the high demand for tree cutting services due to the storm."

"Slater Lawn has always been great about coming out any time we needed work done on our sprinkler system. We had one issue where the wires were pulled up out of a valve box and apparently not put back right. They were able to fix the issue quickly. Recently, a concrete company poured a slab and destroyed the pvc piping where they poured causing my system to leak under the slab. It has been a nightmare to deal with but Slater's guys have been great. They scheduled the appointment time, showed up when they were scheduled, did the work.. then came back when we realized there was a second leak. They work hard, fast and they get it done professionally and are always ALWAYS courteous. Its sad that they have to come fix what someone else broke."
