REDENTA'S GARDEN

Dee came out to walk around and discuss ideas. He provided landscape blueprints for our home. We decided on the scope for Phase One, and the crew installed our new landscaping. The project was delayed a couple of times because of weather. The new beds, paths and plantings look great and are settling in as expected. I have gotten a lot of positive comments from neighbors. They needed to come back out to make an adjustment to the irrigation. Dee is not retry quick to respond to email. Redenta's is expensive, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. The price noted includes the plans and the front yard landscaping install.

It's an annual service. They come out five times a year and treat our lot with different weed suppressors or fertilizers and things like that.

They just provided me with blueprints. They did the design, I did the gardening myself.

I used Redenta's after they completed landscape design for my sister's house and my parent's house. I am so happy with what they planted and the deck design they included. They use native plants so they are easier to care for and are used to the TX climate.

I was so happy with the garden beds they create, organic soil prep, plants they picked, and how they created an outdoor extension of a living area that fit our personality, time constraints and style. When we had another nursery do a lawn evaluation to see what nutrients we have and are lacking in our soil, we met with Redenta's to develop an amendment plan. Basically, in West Fort Worth, when you have clay and rock with a tiny amount of dirt thrown on top of it, you're often prone to have a lot of weeds (which can grow in more rugged environments) and difficulty with grass. To combat that, they started doing organic soil amendments in the compost they'd put down 2x a year. It's something that takes a while, but it is a healthier way than throwing down a lot of chemicals. Unfortunately, because of some financial problems, we've not been able to continue that service. But, I can tell the difference and the soil evaluation is a lot better.

In 2011 and 2012, we used their Garden Maintain service. They come in and mulch, cut back plants, weed gardens, etc. Then, 4 - 5 times during the growing season, they come out and weed, cut back, etc. It is expensive, but it is worth it. They do such a great job and are really responsive to questions and concerns.

One of the huge benefits of a family business and of this business in particular is how much they care about their clients. When we had a family tragedy, they did everything they could to take pressure off of my father and my by doing some work in ways that they don't normally do it and for the "early sign up" discounted price. It was more helpful than I could ever begin to express.

In general, their prices are high, but you get what you pay for. Their knowledge, skills and work ethic along with the benefits of going organic make Redenta's an ideal choice for landscape design, garden maintenance or just nursery services.

Just finished the 1st treatment and I am astounded how good the beds look. They were full of Bermuda grass, no more. They did accidentally remove one of my sprinkler bubblers and they were out 1st thing Monday to fix it, at the same time they cleared out a bed that was going to have to wait until next visit. Impressed so far.

We contacted Redentas in March. Our plan was to completely redo our backyard pool deck, patio and landscaping. We had an initial consultation with Dee who seemed to have some very innovative ideas and was very enthusiastic about our project. We signed a contract with him to the landscape plan with the intent of having them do the work afterwards. A couple of weeks later, we received a phone message from Dee stating that he would not be able to do the work and we would be working with Lorie, who we had never met. He indicated that she would be contacting us. After 3 weeks of no contact, we contacted them and were told that they were very busy and it would be another month before they could even meet with us. Again - no contact from Lorie. Because we had heard good things about them, we decided to wait. In May we finally met with Lorie and went over (again) what we wanted to do. 6 weeks later we finally got our $750 plan. It was basically exactly what we had told her with very little creativity or innovation, but we naively thought maybe our ideas were that good, so we decided to proceed with the work.

The estimate seemed reasonable for the work, but then we noticed that her plan did not include replacing the white concrete coping stone around our pool. (The plan was to replace the ancient cool-crete deck with flagstone.) She said she didn't know we wanted to replace it, which concerned me since aesthetically, I couldn't imagine how that would look. We discussed a few other changes and she went off to redo the estimate.

After 3 months of haggling and price escalations, we decided to part ways. Throughout this process, Lorie was very condescending in her attitude and was very slow to respond. Perhaps this was just a personality conflict, but overall I felt that they were not considerate of our time and needs, did not communicate well and that the price escalation was unreasonable.

We subsequently contracted with another company to do the work and are very pleased with the results and cost.

They’ve been doing this job four times a year for two years now.  They do their job and they do it well.  They are good but I think they are a little expensive for what they do.  If I check their prices, they probably wouldn’t be so.  We will use their services again in the future.

They call the day before they come and are always prompt and professional. The yard looks much better than when I was doing it myself. i think their price is a little high, but not too bad.

The person was very knowledgeable. Clearly an experienced landscape designer. Used all scientific names for plants and quoted several famous designers as his inspiration etc. My main problem was with the format of such a meeting itself. It was kind of hard to extract value from it. It is basically just a conversation, and these tend to drift off into tangents that are not particularly helpful. We had one of us taking notes as he was speaking... but even then we felt it was not very cohesive. Second, I thought our consultant was bringing too much of his own personal likes and dislikes into his recommendations. This was a little putting off, since there were certain aspects of our garden we liked that he pretty much wrote off. Overall, the guy was knowledgeable. But the 1 hour consultation format was not very useful for us. It may be worth it if you stick with them and go for their (very expensive) services to execute the plans as well.

We've been using this service for years. They always call the day before, and they leave a service summary and watering instructions when they leave. The crew is quick and friendly - I wouldn't know they're there except for my dog barking:) We ordered some trees a couple of years ago, and they delivered and planted them at my markers the next time they came out. Really great family-run, local business and friendly staff!

Everything is great. They give personal treatment to their customers.

We paid about $100 each time they came. They did what they were supposed to do and we did not have any complaints. This year we cut back on them and we are just having them deliver the fertilizer and I am putting it down myself.

All went well. Removed old plants and grass and tilled in soil amendments on day one. Came back the next day and planted new plants. Had one plant die and it was replaced immediately.

They did an awesome job.

I have never used their lawn service or their landscaping service. I go to the one in Arlington. It's a real quaint place. The people there are super friendly and always have some great advice as to what to do with the plants and they offer suggestions even though I may not ask. It's just a nice feeling when you go there, like a family feeling. It's a great place to shop. If I needed landscaping services I would not hesitate to call them. They are fine on the price.

Awesome! I'm so excited to start implementing my landscape design plan with help from Redenta's! Dee came out and talked with me about what I wanted to accomplish in my backyard; what my needs were, and how I wanted to use the space. I gave him a "must-have" list and a "wish list." He took many many photos and measurements and went to work. In a few weeks he called me that my plan was ready -- came by the house and sat down with me and explained all the features in detail, and brought color photos of the suggested plants. He had been able to incorporate all of the items on both my lists! I am just thrilled!

The experience was positive. Scott, the landscape designer, developed a plan with a follow up meeting to review within 1 month. The first job was to build a new backyard fence. They contracted out with this service. I had to wait 8 weeks for the fence installation to begin. Some of the plans were followed incorrectly. While the fence company agreed to fix the problem, it took another 6 weeks to for this change to be made. The new landscaping was installed about 4 weeks after the fence was completed. It is absolutely fabulous! I did have to wait a few weeks for some small trees to arrive. When Scott was unhappy with the quality, he held off until better plants arrived. My main frustration was related to the long wait to have work initiated. Once started, completion of the project was timeless. Overall, Redenta's did an excellent job!

I love Redenta's quality of work. They are a little pricey but well worth it. They are not pushy and are willing to work with me. I was very please with the work and design they came up with. I get so many compliments on the work that was completed by Redentas.

This was an impressive masterpiece. We love the way our yard looks. They did magnificent work and they were very responsive. They had very helpful suggestions and mapped out the landscaping for us. This is a wonderful contractor to use.
