"I am very happy to give King Pest Solutions a 5 Star review. Their representative, Eric, arrived on time and gave me an overview of what he was going to do to protect our house from termites. Together we walked around the perimeter of my house and he showed me the tools he was going to use and answered all my questions before getting started. The process took about 2 1/2 hours to complete and my home is now protected. Eric was efficient and knowledgeable about the process and, once again, made sure all my questions were answered before leaving. I will certainly continue to work with King Pest Solutions in the future."

"Raul was professional and communicated well. He showed up at the scheduled time. He sprayed inside and out as agreed. When one of my tenants did not answer the door, he texted me to let me know. She told us she would be there soon, so he waited for her and completed the job. He also found a ventilation hole that was too big -it would allow a mouse to go inside, so he will fix that (as a separately billed service, which is appropriate). He also found a termite problem and he really put my interests first by suggesting that I find the previous technician who sprayed the property as the termite issue should be covered by their previous warranty. I could not find the previous pest professional, so I hired him to do that also. Raul has been trustworthy and professional! I am hiring him again for my regular pest spraying! Thank you, Raul!"

"The owner came out and was straight forward and honest about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. They performed the extermination in about a half day time explaining every step as they went along. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks"

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

If there is food sources and other places to build a nest, wasps may come back after their nest is gone. However, if you take measures to repel wasps, like planting pest-repellent plants or sealing cracks and gaps around the outside of your home, they aren’t likely to return. Be diligent at checking for new nests each spring to get rid of them as soon as possible and prevent bigger swarms of wasps in your yard.

Home warranties typically do not cover pest control services or related damage in their basic plans. However, some companies offer premium plans or limited add-ons that may provide some coverage. These optional coverages often come with limitations, such as dollar caps, maximum payout amounts, or exclusions for specific pests. It is crucial to review the details of your specific home warranty policy to determine if pest control is covered and to understand any associated limitations.

Sort of. Hornets are a subsection of wasps with some unique characteristics (along with yellowjackets and similar types of insects). Hornets are generally rare in the United States, with European and Asian hornets the two notable examples.

Hornets tend to be significantly larger than wasps, often larger than one inch. They are also typically white or brown striped instead of yellow like many wasps. They tend to be one of the more aggressive types of wasps, which when combined with their size makes them a priority for homeowners.

No, you should never vacuum or sweep up mouse or rat droppings, as doing so can release harmful particles into the air and increase your risk of disease exposure. Instead, wear gloves and a mask, spray the droppings with a disinfectant spray, let it soak for a few minutes, and then carefully wipe them up with paper towels. Afterward, disinfect the area thoroughly and immediately wash your hands when you’re done.

Several skin conditions and insect bites can be mistaken for a tick bite, including mosquito bites, spider bites, chigger bites, and even allergic reactions. Tick bites often start as small red bumps, which may develop into a bullseye-shaped rash if Lyme disease is transmitted. However, similar-looking rashes can result from conditions like eczema, ringworm, or hives. Without a visible tick, it can be hard to confirm the source, so it’s best to monitor the area for changes and consult a doctor if symptoms like fever, fatigue, or worsening redness occur.
