"I contacted Jeff in July 2020 for an estimate on a bathroom remodel. He was able to make it out to my house later that day and provide a pretty good estimate considering we didn’t know the exact details of what we wanted just the layout. Jeff was very friendly and upfront about how much he charged for everything. After thinking about it for a week we decided to go with them and get on the schedule. My wife was pregnant at the time and Jeff was very accommodating to schedule the job prior to her due date which was in September. His crew did an outstanding job from demoing to completing the bathroom. His team even made suggestions for the design as they were building it out that surpassed what we had envisioned. During the process his team found issues and mistakes made by our builder which they corrected. Jeff was always upfront on any additional costs throughout the project and always asked before proceeding. In the end we went over budget but that was our fault for not knowing exactly what we wanted to do when we started the project. My advice if you can get as much completed on design and materials ahead of time the better. We will hire them in the future for other projects."

We had some apprehension choosing a builder to complete our project, but all I can say is we hit the jackpot with Dave Peters of D. Michael designs. Here are a few reasons we would not hesitate to recommend D. Michael Designs: 1. Dave is timely - if he said he was going to meet at a certain time he was usually 5 minutes early. 2. Dave will provide morning email updates (before 7am) stating what work will be accomplished that day. 3. Dave has a dedicated set of subcontractors he used for our project: the carpenters, tile installers, electrician, plumber and cabinet guy were all exceptional. 4. Dave puts everything in writing so there are no surprises. 5. Dave has accounts with several local businesses so we could access builder pricing for our appliances, tile, countertops, etc. 6. Dave demands perfection. On periodic project walk throughs he would often notice things that needed to be addressed before we did. 7. When we were out of town, Dave provided pictures of the project so we could see the progress being made (he has an Instagram account) Don't hesitate to talk with Dave of D. "My wife and I had Rick and Bordeaux Luxury Homes completely remodel our guest house last year (2019). We spent about three years trying to find a contractor who would either return our calls, see our house or provide a quote once they did see our house. Rick was the first contractor, of at least five, who contacted us, made an appointment, kept the appointment, and then followed up with a design plan and a quote. He was very good at explaining what to expect during the remodel process and providing remodel recommendations. Also, every Sunday throughout the remodel, he emailed us that weekâ s plan so that we knew what expect and which decisions we had to each week. We have an older home, about 75 years old, which needed extensive work both inside and out. We tried to maintain as much of the historic feel of the house while adding a modern, lighter, airier feel. Rick and his staff did that. Additionally, we had numerous special requests, e.g. replace a steel awning with an updated canvas awning, add an upstairs, screened-in deck, and retain but update the houseâ s wood/textured exterior, and Rick did a great job accomplishing those requests. We also had some unexpected obstacles arise during the remodel which Rick was able to work through. We originally didnâ t plan to replace the roof, but Rick found that we had a leak which would have caused future problems if not fixed. Rick has a pretty extensive team of subcontractors which made it easy to roll the reroofing into our existing remodel without delaying the overall project finish date. Overall, we are very happy with the remodel and feel that we now have a showcase guest house. Rick and staff exceeded our customer service expectations, gave and met realistic deadline expectations, and left us with a beautiful that weâ re proud to show off to guests."
