"This was my first time using Buddy movers, and I highly recommend them. The scheduling process was great. Jake was more than happy to answer any and all the questions that I had about the moving process, listened to of our move, and propose recommended options to best execute the move. The entire moving crew was a friendly helpful professional, just generally fantastic. All of our pieces were moved safely and soundly. As I mentioned, we were moving an elderly relative and a lot of the furniture was antique. The buddy moving truck looked new and very well-maintained. And they had plenty of moving supplies for the odds and sods inevitably found on moving day. Very pleased, would hire them again."
Along with padded blankets, our movers add a second layer of protection to all furniture. This keeps your items safe and ensures they arrive safely at your new residence.
This is how a perfectly wrapped piece of furniture should look, allowing for the customer to feel safe and know their items are being taken care of.

"Jake called me about my move and we negotiated a price, was a little more than I expected, however, we finally came to a fair price. On moving day they showed up and completed their work in about 3.5 hours and i have a 3 bedroom home. Delivery was in less than the 7 days that Jake estimated and nothing was broken. they even reassembled our beds and kitchen table which made my wife very happy. Every time I called they answered or responded fast I had absolutely no problem with anything they did, it relieved a lot of stress and anxiety that my wife and I were feeling. Professional, reliable and reasonable."

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

To prepare for moving a piano, start by documenting its current condition with photos in case of any damage during the move. Secure the piano's lid and wrap the instrument, including its keys and pedals, with bubble wrap and moving blankets for protection. Note that if you have hired professional piano movers, they may handle this step for you.

Next, prepare the space. Measure any tight spaces or doorways to ensure the piano will fit through. Clear a wide path from the piano's location to the exterior door, removing any furniture or obstacles. It is also helpful to prop open doors to make the exit easier.

On moving day, ensure the moving truck can park as close to the exit as possible. For safety, keep children and pets away from the moving area to prevent accidents or distractions.

Professional movers use dedicated packing materials like specialty boxes for artwork, TVs, clothes and other things that need to be moved with care. If professional movers are packing for you, they use foam, bubble wrap, and other cushioning for the journey. You can ask questions about how movers will handle specific items when you are getting a price estimate.

It is best to book a moving company two to three months before your move-out date. This provides enough time to compare rates, organize your belongings, and find an available crew for your desired day and time. While you might find movers with only one or two weeks' notice, some companies require booking up to 90 days in advance.

Planning ahead is especially important if you're moving during the busy summer season when demand is highest. Summer weekends, in particular, book up quickly. Securing your movers well in advance helps you avoid the stress and potential extra fees of last-minute arrangements.

Qualified piano movers will take several steps to protect your piano from damage during the move. First, they'll wrap the piano to protect its finish. Ideally, they'll wrap the piano in a specialized blanket that features a soft, padded interior and a tougher exterior.

After wrapping your piano, the movers will securely strap it to a dolly for safe transport to and from the moving truck. Once the piano is in the truck, movers might put the piano on a piece of plywood to help level it during the move, depending on the truck bed. They will then strap it in place so it doesn't shift around during the drive to your final destination.

To find a reputable furniture shipper, start by asking your social circle for recommendations. You can also conduct online searches for long-distance or international furniture moving companies. When evaluating potential shippers, read online reviews and testimonials, understand the services they provide, and get quotes to ensure they fit within your budget.
