And just in time for several more weeks of heavy rains. The area drains work very well, there is now minimal pooling on the north side of the house. A few weeks ago we had torrential downpours and the popup covers on the outflow pipes to the street disappeared - my best guess gushing water dislodged them and the wind carried them off. I initially tried to snake the line myself to clear the blockage (caused by condensate from the AC), but, couldn't fully clear the lines. So, I reached out to find a plumber to fully open the lines. Called around 9am and by 11am, Chris was at house to resolve problem. Interaction with both guys was highly professional and courteous. I think it helped tremendously to fully describe my problem to David so diagnosis at the house was spot on. Chris took care of the opening the drain and suggested I put bleach once a month (followed by hot water flow) into the sink to killl algae build up. I called Mr. Blalock and setup an appointment so he could come out and take a look at my problem. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We started in the backyard , walked around my detached garage, and walked around the entire house. He even looked over the fence into the Neighbors yard behind my house and told me I was getting some of the neighbors runoff rain water draining through my yard. I was looking for a vendor who would give me a complete solution to my problem. I did not want just a solution to standing water. Mr.Blalock was not the first Vendor I had to look at the problem. Others wanted to put in a few catch basins and run PVC pipe to the curb in front of the house. I needed someone to tell me where the water was coming from and present me with some options . Mr. Blalock told me that putting in a few catch basins and running PVC to the curb would not solve WHERE the water was coming from. He presented me with options for 3 catch basins. Two in the back yard and one along the side of the house . He also presented me with gutter solutions for the 3 sides of my two story home that did not have Gutters. He told me he would tie those gutters into the catch basin lines and get that water to the curb in front of the house. I was also given the option to put gutters on the detached garage and the covered breezeway that ran to my back door. All of the water from those gutters were tied into the PVC run to the front. I always had water standing on my back patio after a heavy rain. I was presented with the option of putting a catch basin near the flower bed next to patio. We talked about the pro's and con's of each solution. I decided what I wanted , and we arranged for a date to begin. The crew that installed the catch basins and the drain lines came out first. They were fast, and professional. There were 3 catch basins installed in the back yard tied into PVC run and another on the side of house. The crew drilled a hole in the curb at the front of the house put the PVC line through the curb. Mr. Blalock noticed that my next door neighbor had a catch basin line installed that ran on his property on the side of the house. At the curb where the neighbors line was supposed to come out of the curb there was a "pop up" drain that was not working. Mr. Blalock offered to eliminate the neighbors "pop up" drain and punch his line through the curb next to mine. No charge. The neighbor agreed so now our lines run to the curb side by side. That's going the extra mile to do the right thing
The gutter crew came out a few days latter and installed gutters as we had discussed and tied them into the drain lines going to the curb or flex hoses coming from the downspouts through my front flower beds so the water would run onto my lawn and not on my driveway.
Both crews were friendly and professional and cleaned up after they finished.
We had a heavy rain last night and the whole system performed just as he said it would. I am completely satisfied with his work
If you have a drainage problem I recommend Mr. Blalock and his crew.

He took me shopping for tile and gave several recommendations. I made some changes to the design by removing the diving board and adding a giant rock (on Mario's suggestion) and installing a waterfall. I also removed a wooden deck (which had a french drain under it) and installed a drainage line to move water away from the house since the pool is higher than my foundation. When I asked for drawings of what the pool and deck would look like, the company was not able to provide a 3-D rendition, but I was provided photos of what the waterfall would look like. It took about a 12 days to complete. All of the deck was removed and new concrete poured. I had the concrete stamped with a flagstone pattern and stained. The waterfall is beautiful. The plaster was sprayed and the pool was filled. Even with the problems, I Iove the new look (as the old one was horrible!). The first hairline crack in the concrete appeared in June. The job was completed in March. The expansion joints they placed in the concrete were not laid straight. The original plan was to insert a single drain in the deck to move water away from the house; instead, I have 1/2" drain channel along the foundation and across the concrete deck to the drain pipe. The concrete is a rusty brown and the drain channels are beige. In the plaster it looks like water was left leaking from the return jets and it created a line from all the jets to the bottom of the pool. The pump to the rock waterfall was placed on the ground (no pad), and the electrical box they replaced after putting in the line for the pump, was old and the cover was unsightly. There is too much juice running all of this equipment as they just tied into the existing electric, so now, when I turned on the waterfall, I can't run the pump and the Polaris without throwing a breaker. The crew also used my personal hose and fireman's garden nozzle which I had to replace. A year later, I continue to find cracks in the concrete. When I contacted Mario about the first crack in June, he came to look at the first one, but never got back with me about how it would be fixed. I think it may only be the top layer of concrete that was stained that is cracking. I was out of town for the bulk of the work. Had I been on site everyday to monitor the progress, I could have monitored the job and asked questions when I thought something wasn't going as it should."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/sugar-land/millenium-pool-and-spa-services-reviews-7665714.htm"},"position":10}]}

Guys did a nice job. Additional charges were incurred due to repairs. If downspouts drain underground, there is an additional charge to for each downspout to unhook them and drain above ground vs. all that gunk going down pipes and potentially clogging. Count on extra $$$!!!

"I can’t say enough about Ryan Stegent Plumbing!!! As with any home service, one expects courtesy and care for one’s property. From the first contact to project completion, Ryan was a consummate professional. Ryan and I were in continuous communication related to the job. He was very responsive to questions and flexible to my schedule. When he got to my house, he had everything he needed to do the job and did exactly what I asked him to do. No negotiating an easier path. I really appreciated that. When all was said and done, Ryan had done a superb, professional job despite the heat in the attic (over 120 deg F). If one can do a professional job under difficult conditions, I’d trust him to do any work on my house. I would hire this guy in a second for any future plumbing job. Oh, it was also a nice touch that he charged what he said he would."

"recently called John Moore Services for what should have been a simple plumbing issue — a clogged bathroom sink connected to my air conditioner drain line. I reached out after seeing their TV commercial promoting clogged sink service for “about $69.” What I quickly discovered is that this advertised rate applies to an extremely narrow and unadvertised category of sinks that almost no real-world situation meets. My straightforward, less-than-20-minute fix was quoted at over $600 to snake. This is an outrageous markup for such a basic job. As a former small business owner, I find these tactics troubling. This is a textbook example of bait-and-switch advertising — grabbing attention with a low price, then upselling with inflated charges once the customer is committed. Practices like this harm consumers and tarnish the reputation of the many honest, hardworking service providers in our community. Shame on you, John Moore Services. My strong recommendation: Do Not Use."

"At first the company seemed super helpful. Eric was always pleasant and seemed to be supporting us. HOWEVER, they told us that they were dealing directly with insurance and that we wouldn't need to worry about anything. Therefore no costs, no options, no explanations of services were ever given to us. When the bill came back higher than insurance would cover they assured us that Joyce was the best in the business and would get it taken care of for us. the gap ended up being $3000 out of our pocket and as far as I can tell, no genuine effort was made to come to an agreement because we would have to pay it anyway. They were not actually working for us. In addition, the whole process was frustrating because appointments were made with us, where we canceled plans and they never showed or called. They removed equipment before it was dry and then covered themselves by putting it back in. At the end of the day our house is dry as is our bank account. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!"

"Be very careful if you need any plumbing work done in The Woodlands. DO NOT call JD Precision Plumbing, they are modern day Pirates. They charged me $800.00 to replace this one small section of water main. took every bit of 30 minutes. They say free estimates on their website. When I called for service, I was told there is a $175.00 service call charge and would be I would be credited this amount if work is done. I'm thinking it cannot cost much over $175.00 to fix. (wrong). They estimated $791.00 to fix it. I'm not home due to a surgery and have buddy relaying info to me. I think ok, the $791.00 less the $175.00 so $616.00 to me. (wrong again). I not only get charged 791.00! they added 3% for using a credit card. Now I'm at $815.00 to fix. I try getting justification on charges from their operations manager only to be told JD Precision plumbing is so big and they have higher overhead than any other plumbers, therefore have higher costs for service. "he tore out an old, rotted, piecemeal patio that was placed at least 30 years ago. it was uneven, and the dividing boards had rotted. he then replaced it with a smooth surface that is level. i had a big planter resting on top of the old patio. he returned a week after finishing the job to replace it, while i was out of town. very happy with result."

FAQs for drain pipe installation projects in Fulshear, TX
The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.
The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.
You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.
We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
