and add a fire pit to my backyard. He was enthusiastic and ready to get started right away, that week. The first issue I had was that the frame for the slab did not extend all the way under my faucet as we had discussed and indicated on the paperwork. When I asked him about it he said it was because my sprinkler pump was under the faucet. I let it go, but later after some research this statement was a lie. My sprinkler water pump was way on the other side of the yard. He just did not want to redo the frame work. The next process was to have the slab poured. There were 10 delays due to his excuses that went from... waiting on the concrete people to come/confirm, to telling me the wrong day, to him having to go out of town, and a few others. I finally sent him a text that I was done we needed to part ways and I wanted a full refund. However, only after that text was sent to him was my slab poured. The slab looked great no complaints there, but I later notice that he or a member of his crew pulled off the metal top on my water hose so now nothing can be connected to it. Now was to have the patio stained. I was promised several times I would be provided color samples to look at, but I never saw or received them. Then again for this process, appointments were made by him where he failed to show up or canceled, and at times without notification unless I reached out to him asking where he was. It seemed as though I was always the one to have contact him as to why he was not at the scheduled appointment. He is not always very good at responding to phone calls or text. What should have been a project that was completed in a few weeks has turned into 2 months and nowhere near completion. This has been a very irritating process. After the most recent appointment that Mr. Alvarez failed to show up to without letting me know. I sent him a text firing him and letting him know I wanted a partial refund. He did not reply to my text or phone call. I informed him in another text and an attempted phone call I would be filing a claim with small claims court and reporting him to the BBB, if we did not have a resolution by an indicated date and time. A few days later I came home to a note and a check of ¼ of the amount of money I asked for. So my advice is do not hire this person he is very unorganized, unreliable, has a lot of excuses, does not communicate well and makes promises he doesn?t follow through on. The TLDR version: this company doesn't know what they are doing and do not offer good customer service. Run far away. If your home warranty gives you an appointment with them, tell them you want a different company. The home warranty company sent these guys in November of 2017 to check on one...

"Initially we thought we had found a good company to service our well issue. They came out immediately to look at issue and gave us a solution we thought to our problem.
Within a month, our well again was flooding well house and should have been covered under their warranty. We called multiple times and finally connected to be serviced. That day came any went without anyone showing up or calling to reschedule. Follow up calls got us nowhere until I left a message that if I didn?t get a callback, I would place an honest review on the bad service and unprofessional message from them.
The well guy called back with excuse everyone at company had flu and to go ahead and leave a negative review. So here it is. They are quick to get out and make a buck but not follow up on any issues thereafter under warranty. If the well guy would kindly correct this situation, I would in turn follow up with a positive review of them correcting a situation for a customer. "

"In the middle of August (106 deg.) when everyone was having busted water pipes… Texan Water came out and did a SUPERB job of getting the gushing water flow stopped. This was supposed to have been fixed by SAWS but after a couple of months of waiting for SAWS, I called Texan Water. They scheduled me in and within a week, sent out Noah who found a way to plug up an old fire hydrant. I highly recommend the professional services of Texan Water to anyone needing professional plumbing done."

"We are Austin (city people) who are setting up a weekend retreat outside of Lampasas. When asking for recommendations for a well driller - everyone said "Lucy Creek!" We contracted with them to dig a well and provide all reservoir and pump parts. They were very competitively priced, great with explanations on what the process would be, great communication during the process, and they came out right on schedule. We will be using them for any servicing needs in the future. I appreciate their expertise!"

"It turns out that the new Smalley homes do not have the in/out of the manifold for the water in a place where you can get to it easily. They had to remove the hot water heater, cut out a place to get to the manifold, remove foam insulation, hook up the pipes to the system, re-foam the manifold, put back the drywall, reinstall the hot water heater, and get the system up and running. The two gentlemen, Dan and Dax, were as nice as anyone would want. Polite, intelligent, and efficient. Dan figured out how to get it installed without my having to pay for a drywall person and painter to fix up the wall. I'm super happy and super impressed with their work and perseverance to get the job finished in one day. They were here for about six hours. Thanks!!"

"Called Mr. White because my rental property had a leak under the kitchen sink and a tub faucet leak. He contacted my tenants on a Thursday and made an appointment to come by and view the issues. White Plumbing scheduled with my tenants to make the repairs the following Monday and they never showed up and never called myself or my tenant. Finally after some messaging on Tuesday morning Mr. White informed me that Tuesday was a better day for him, if he know that he should have let the tenant or myself know so that he did not have to take off work on Monday waiting for nothing. Mr. White's texted me an estimate of $275.00 with no explanation of what work is to be done, so I asked for a work order/invoice or something. Later that day Mr. White's son called me and tells me that the charge has changed and that it is going to be $375 and that his daddy did not know what he was talking about and that he would talk to him about the quote he gave me. I explained to his son that I was not going to pay any more than what was quoted. My tenants called Wednesday morning to let me know that the kitchen sink was still leaking. I contacted White Plumbing they fixed it again, my tenants called me on Thursday morning to let me know that the leak under the kitchen sink is still there. I spoke with Mr. White's son and he explains to me that he is going to have to buy a faucet and that it is going to cost about $89 dollars, and that i needed to pay $375 to complete the job and I told him again that was not going to pay any more because I think that I was paying too much for such a simple issue. He again tried to explain to me that his father (the master plumber and owner of the business) did not know what he was talking about, so we argued a little more, which I think was extremely unprofessional on his part. Friday arrives and I texted Mr. White to let him know that I am going to have to hire someone else to fix my plumbing issues because he did not inform me, nor did the tenant inform me that the repairs were complete and I received a call right away which was unusual because, when I was trying to get something written on the work procedures or when they were going to show up for the job he was not so quick to act. They also used, used piping to make the repairs under the sink. Just a bad job all the way around. I will never use them again. They are the worst plumbing company I have done business with in all of my 57 years. I do not live in Waco so finding people to do work is difficult. I wish I had taken a picture of the piping they used because I would upload a picture."

FAQs for well and pump service projects in Fort Hood, TX
Estimating what size well pump you need is challenging and often inaccurate, but a general rule of thumb is to take the number of fixtures—including water-consuming appliances—in your home and aim for that number in gallons per minute. That calculation method would allow for every fixture in your home to use about one gallon of water per minute. However, it’s best to leave the pump size determination to a professional technician, as they can ensure your pump is providing your home with sufficient water, especially during peak usage hours.
Some states and municipalities restrict well pump repair and replacement to licensed plumbers and technicians, while others don’t have requirements. However, it’s always a good idea to hire a certified plumber to repair or replace well pumps and water pumps. Certified professionals are far more likely to get the job done correctly and prevent future issues, which is especially important for ensuring access to clean water for your home.
It’s possible to fix a broken well pump yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Well pumps are hard to reach and service without the proper equipment, and even if you can reach the pump, it involves working in close proximity to water and electricity, which can be extremely dangerous. Any mistakes made during the repair process could contaminate your water supply or put you and your home at risk. Additionally, some states require that a licensed plumber carry out well pump repair. It’s worth it to hire a professional water pump repair service.
The average cost to repair a well pump is $950, with most well pump repairs ranging between $100 and $2,900. A few factors influence your total repair cost, including the component of your well that needs repair or replacement, the extent of the damage, the accessibility of the pump, and the age and size of your well pump. It might be more cost-effective to replace your well pump if it’s old or has multiple broken components, as the average cost to replace a well pump is $1,800.
Most professional well and water pump technicians will take between two and four hours to replace an above-ground well pump, while a submersible well pump typically takes four to five hours to access and replace. You can also ask your well pump replacement technician how long they expect the process to take, as some jobs take just an hour or two. Keep in mind that you’ll be without access to water during the replacement process, so plan ahead by showering early and stocking up on bottled water for drinking and cooking.
