Best contractors near Fate, TX

"These guys are top notch. Responsive to my endless questions throughout the process, Carlos is a professional contractor. Hire him and you’ll be glad you did."

"As a professional carpenter and cabinet maker, I had been confident in my ability to restore the all-wood 100 year old house my wife and I purchased when moving to Texas.  Over the course of the first year, I realized my confidence wasn't misplaced, but it would take me approximately eleventy bajillion more months to finish by myself than I had originally estimated.  Admittedly in over my head, I started looking for reinforcements.
I contacted about a dozen companies from referrals and online reviews.  Enthusiasm and prices were all over the board; after many dropped off the face of the earth or were clearly not that excited about taking on a difficult, grueling job, I selected Brian and his crew from the remaining three.  His pricing structure made me a little nervous (weekly rates versus a flat bid), but I appreciated his excellent communication (very rare, I discovered) and his instant understanding of what I had gotten myself into.
Brian's crew was excellent.  They showed up on time, we collaborated on an initial plan of attack, and his guys immediately set to building an incredibly intricate series of scaffolding - which allowed them to get up close to third-story areas I had all but given up on.  After three months, the entire house had been transformed, and we were receiving raves from anyone passing by about how great the place looked.  In a neighborhood known for constant high-end renovations and battles against mother nature's destructive powers, Lakewood Restoration's results were clearly way above the norm.  And this is coming from an unusually persnickety craftsman/carpenter (whom they graciously contended with all along the way).
My only minor issue came with the cost.  It was difficult to compare them against other bids, and my wife and I wound up spending considerably more than we had initially planned (but when doesn't that happen).  We would have probably spent even more with other traditional companies and dealt with unending change orders, though, so in the end I'm fully satisfied with their value.  I don't regret signing off on anything I shifted onto their scope.  It was also clear that they were not the turn-and-burn type of contractor who were just out to make a buck; they do great work at the appropriate speed without trying to race on to the next job or constantly up-sell services.
In the end, I highly recommend using these guys, especially if you have a non-traditional project that requires more attention and communication than one of the giant companies can provide.  I've already recommended them on other projects in which I'm involved, and I'll continue to enthusiastically enlist their services when I have the need!

"Work was completed and results were excellent. As with any major remodel, things seemed to take forever, but this is not a knock on Kevin and his crew. Everyone was courteous and helpful and made living in the home while a major project was going on as comfortable as possible. If you are going to have a major project done as large as we had ($55K +), you ARE going to have a mess and you ARE going to get frustrated, but this will happen no matter who your contractor is. I would highly recommend Nolen Contracting for their professionalism, good communication and overall excellent quality workmanship."

"I am looking forward to this estimate more than the other three. I hope to actually get at least two estimates from the four contractors I had come. After speaking with four contractors I feel most confident in this contractor and company."

"We needed a large tree in our front yard removed. Brandy came out to give us an estimate and work with us. We were able to get the job done all in the same week! The team was fast and efficient. Would definitely hire again for future projects."

"I had some wood rot around the entrance to my garage so metroplex pro builders came out and gave an estimate. Manny was professional and flexible. He was willing and able to meet me at my convenience. We signed a contract and workers were here the next morning. Manny and his crew got the job done. They did five star work. I recommend them for professionalism and quality work. And they get the job done fast."

"Beyond my expectations!! The professionalism and workmanship are the best I've experienced. Always punctual, detail-oriented, and adaptable to each problem we encountered all with an incredibly positive attitude. Not only is Paul the "can do" contractor, he is the "can do it right." We spent years and several horrible experiences with contractors in my attempts to repair my mother's home from the 2021 snowstorm. That is until Paul rescued us. I highly recommend Paul Alvarez for any project large or small."

"Jay's crew was very helpful, and Jay was good with keeping us up to date with project progress and any updates on schedule slipping. Work quality was good too!"

"ATX Construction & Remodeling did an amazing job on my kitchen remodel. From planning to execution, everything was smooth and well-organized. The quality of work exceeded my expectations, and the space now feels completely transformed."

"If we are going into battle, GNF Contractors is the team we want on our side. They rescued us during the February freeze when a pipe burst and our home flooded and no remediation companies were available. They have done multiple projects for us. They will go above and beyond to make sure that the job is done to your satisfaction."
