We agreed to a date for him to come to the house, review the project and give us an estimate. He failed to appear. We then left him a voicemail in an effort to reschedule. He ignored that voicemail and hasn’t returned the call or tried to contact us.

Charles is our go-to guy for repairs around the house. When we purchased appliance replacements recently, the overall height of the products was substantially smaller than the opening that was left behind by our old ones, requiring some cabinetry work. I knew immediately who we would call! Sure enough, Charles came and assessed the problem and fixed it in the same day. He takes pride in his work and we trust him with our projects!

Installation went very well; very professional work. He arrived on schedule and the price was very reasonable.

Charles is professional, personable and an all around delight to have around the house.

We had a great experience with Charles from the first phone call all the way through our service. He is prompt to return calls, so very personable, and wonderful at what he does. He just left our house - on a Saturday - where he spent almost 4 hours rerouting some of the piping under our sink due to a new countertop installation which moved some things around. He was hard at work the entire time, and even stopped once to rehang some curtains that had fallen in our living room. Charles seems more like a family friend than someone we found on Angie's List. I feel completely comfortable asking his opinion on things and trust that he will give me an honest answer. We will definitely use him again the future! Thank you, Charles!

Charles was very professional and very thorough with his work.  The new oven was taller, so he had to adjust the supports underneath.  There was a large drawer under the original oven that I just said was ok to lose and/or cover up.  Charles was able to save the drawer.  He spent over an hour resizing the original drawer so I could keep it.  Unexpected surprise, but it was certainly a welcome one!  And he didn't charge extra for it.  He still charged me the lower amount in his original quote. 

We are very pleased and will definitely be a repeat customer!

Having some knowledge of carpentry as my father was a carpenter, it appeared evident Charles was proficient in his work.  I was able to make contact with him immediately and he came out to look at the project same day.  He was able to look at the issue and see what was needed and provided bid later that evening.

Water and termite damage in our shower-bath enclosure was much worse than I expected when I removed the tile. It was time to bring an expert framer.
I requested bids from highly rated contractors. Four returned estimates and a fifth said the job was beyond his abilities. I chose Charles Lamb, because his was the most straightforward and reasonable plan. And, I could tell that he knew what he was talking  about. His bid was neither the lowest nor the highest.
Mr. Lamb arrived precisely on time. He was well equipped with tools and materials and went straight to work. It was obvious to me that he is indeed a Master Carpenter with decades of experience just by the way he handled his tools. He moved efficiently knowing exactly what to do.
It only took Mr. Lamb a few hours to reframe the rotted section of wall?about 30 square feet. Periodically, during the process, he cleaned and reorganized the area. Then he installed insulation and cement board, cleaned everything, and wrote an invoice that was also very reasonable.

Mr Lamb had given me an estimate previously(1 month ago). I contacted

I contacted Charles regarding a job that I had started but not completed. I was worried that the job would be too small for a contractor to undertake. I called Carpentry & Home Improvement Services and spoke with Charles who reassured me that no job was too small and then made an appointment to meet with me. Charles arrived on time to look at the requested work. He quickly determined the cost and time to completion. Charles arrived on the scheduled date and completed the job perfectly in about an hour. I could not have been happier with the outcome, both in terms of service, product, and cost. I would absolutely not hesitate to contact Charles again for future work!

Charles answered my initial phone call and we discussed the handyman jobs I needed.  We set up a date and time that occurred within the next few days.  Charles arrived on time.  He is professional and courteous.  He works quickly and leaves his work area clean after the job is done.  The attic stairs was a two man job so Charles and his helper returned a couple of days later to install them.

I hired Charles for 3 different tasks. I needed him to build a porch railing for the front of my house, repair rotten horizontal fence boards, and replace two large 20' support beams for the pergola in my backyard. Charles patiently worked with me while I decided how I wanted to design the railing and he did not disappoint. He completed all of the projects in 2.5 days and showed up on time, as expected. We did have one miscommunication on the railing design that I noticed after the railing was finished. Charles went back to work and modified the railing to make sure I was happy with his work. Could not recommend him more!

Charles was very professional and he does an excellent job!  I was so impressed with my new foundation for my shed and fixing my fence.  He completed the work in two days.  He told me exactly what he was going to do with my shed's foundation.  He gave me a couple of options on how to fix the foundation.  I would definitely use Charles again on more handyman jobs around my house.

What a great experience!  I needed a door cut out from my patio to the garage.  I wanted the old backdoor as the new door to the garage and a new door as my back door.  I had several estimates, but Charles Lamb got the job. I was contacted promptly, scheduled based on my hectic life, and given a fair price.  Not only was his bid the fairest, but his work is A+. He came out to give an estimate, found a door that afternoon and was on time the next day to start the job.  He arrived on time, did the work himself and finished the job by 3 o?clock.  Did I mention that he is a "Master" carpenter?  He proved it by installing the brand new door evenly into an uneven space.  My house has some foundation issues and he worked until he got the door to close correctly.  I will definitely be calling Charles again for the many other jobs I have lined up. I also have recommended him to all my friends.

The owner, Charles Lamb, does all the work himself. He was very punctual and professional. He did great work. He really cares about the quality of his work. I would not hesitate to use him again and to recommend him to friends.

He did a careful and thorough job.   I would not call his prices cheap, but on the other hand he works smart and helps you to make good long-term decisions.  This will save you money in the long run.  As I said above, he gave me excellent advice about how to deal with customer service, to get them to replace my range hood for no additional cost to me.  I will definitely use him again in the future.  His specialities are fencework and electrical work.  
He also was cheerful about doing extras.  For example, I bought the wrong size of vanity for my bathroom, so he volunteered to take it up to Home Depot for me on his way out, at no extra charge.
