"I have a very dangerous situation with my foundation in the front of my house. I hired these guys to tell me how to tell a contractor to fix the problem. When they came out to inspect, I showed them the problem and they agreed, it was a real problem. Later, they send a report back that completely ignores the very real problem I have. Instead, telling me to fix the back of the house that is no problem at all. Trying to ask for further assistance, they said they did what I paid them for."

"I can not say enough positive about Chris and Chuck and O 2 KOOL!! Chuck came out in early January to look at my old Trane gas furnace .. he got it going with no trouble. Now today ... during our ice/snow armageddon it went out again. I called and Chris FaceTimed with me .. looked at what was up and talked me through how to relight the system myself. Good news .. I now have heat! I strongly recommend them to anyone who needs help with their heating and cooling system! They not only helped, but assured me .. a 60 yr old woman .. everything would be OK and safe. That is a VERY rare quality!"

"If you’re a new customer they will get to you quickly. Not worth it! I had 2 ac/heat units replaced in December 2021. One of them has made noise and the air has an odor. Omar had his tech come out on multiple occasions. Never found anything wrong. Over a year later I reached out to American Standard and they are awesome. I suggest their equipment just not ABC. Omar replaced my system without inspecting the ducts. Even after all my complaints. Finally one of his guys came out and found the damage that was from over 5 years ago. My family has been breathing unhealthy air for a year. Omar has not shown an ounce of care to fix the problem. Which is partially under warranty. I will gladly pay extra to hire a new company to fix the problem. I don’t want to deal with a company I can not trust. I paid over 18,000. I am having to use a space heater in the back of my house to keep it warm. Again I do suggest American Standard. They have been awesome and caring about my situation."

"Our system was not cooling and we needed it checked for all issues that could be causing it. The technician did incomplete checks and declared the issue was just that the plug was not in place, he did not give us an estimate for approval, he directly billed us to pay $275 for putting the plug in place. After a few days the issue with our cooling reappeared, he came back and mentioned there could be leak but refused to check where the leak was without another payment. When he came the first time he should have at least checked our system properly for the $275 he charged us. They just declared everything is good without even checking with the meter."

"This experience has been a nightmare of frustration. Gilbert from G&I Appliance Repair contacted me on 4/20 about repairing our refrigerator. I explained to him the refrigerator is slightly cool but not cold enough, and the freezer just cold enough to keep ice from fully melting, but will not freeze anything solid. He advised it was a compressor problem without going to my home to do a diagnostic look over. I told him I had tested the fans and the compressor, and they were working. The problem was they were not blowing cold. He insisted it was a compressor problem, and advised me he was an expert and to trust him. He came to my home on 5/1 and replaced the compressor, said it was fixed but it would take a few hours to cool. He charged me $603 and left. I messaged him that same night and told him the refrigerator was still not working. He came back the next day and worked on it, told me it was now working but to wait another 24 hours for it to start cooling again. I once again brought up the fact that the old compressor was working fine and it appears he fixed something that was not broken, and the actual problem is something besides the compressor. He assured me it was the compressor, that he had fixed it and it was now working. On 5/2 the refrigerator was still not cooling effectively and was functioning exactly as it had been when I initially requested a repair. The freezer would not freeze all the way and refrigerator would hardly cool. I called Gilbert and told him neither the freezer or fridge were cold enough, and he asked if I had used a thermometer to gauge the temperature. When I told him “no,” he questioned how I could possibly know it was not cold enough. The curdled milk and fruit flies flying around it are a strong signal that it isn’t cold. Even still, I don’t need to know exactly how much someone weighs to tell of if they are fat. Gilbert offered to come back out and diagnose the problem, but I had already paid $603 dollars for a needless compressor repair. Gilbert now thinks the actual problem might be with the 3-way valve, but he is not certain and he wanted to come back to my house. I asked him why he replaced a fully-functioning compressor if the problem was elsewhere, for which he cannot provide an answer. I told him I wanted a refund, and even went so far as to pay him for a diagnostic fee, which is generous considering he never came out to diagnose the problem in the first place, and he still does not know why it is not cooling. Gilbert suggested I was trying to scam him and was lying about the refrigerator not working just so I could get a refund. He refuses to refund me. I’ve used Angi for several repair needs, and this is the first one with whom I’ve had a bad experience. It’s been awful to say the least. Pathetic, to say the most."
