I always use them. The guy is a retired Marine and they always do a good job. They are fair and don't try to sell you up or do a bunch of stuff that's not necessary. I have been using them since 2011. A guy by the name of Brian, I think he owns the business, was doing the work initially and I would give him an "A", but lately he's got other younger kids doing the work. They are not as good. I haven't used anybody else in the last 5 years.

In the past they have repaired the printed circuit board to get us running. Total time for repair 2 hours and about $150.  It lasted about 2 years. Our system was about 8 years old at thee time of repair.  Replacement was a proactive replacement.   Two years ago, another company quoted replace the printed circuit board and attached motor $1500 and 1 to 22 days.

AMAZING!!!!  His install was clean and neat.  We had to have a new ladder installed to the attic to access the furnace and he recommended  a contractor who we have "kept" for our "honey do list" of projects.  What a find.   Byron, the owner  of Amtech is very responsive and answered all my questions.   
Well, it has been a few weeks since our system install.  IT IS AMAZING@@@  Our electric bill has dropped $50 a month and Bryon not only did a quality instal but registered all the units AND registered us for our Carrier rebate.   The carrier unit is silent, you can't hear it run.  The thermostat is linked to Carrier Server and our internet.    I can access the thermostat from my phone to check the system and change the temp, amongst other options.   I can't recommend them enough.     Hmmmm. does he do windows?????

I really really hate to write this horrible review.  However, I really feel like I have no other choice.
We had an Air Handler and Heat Pump put in our home.  Our old unit could run and we did not even notice it.  The unit that they put in is so incredibly noisy it drives us crazy.  They keep telling us that it is so noisy because the air vent is too small.  I do not understand... that is the case, then why did our other unit work without being so loud.  I think that they should take some time to look at a customers home and look at the unit they had previously and then make suggestions as to what unit would be suitable for the customers home.  If someone had told me that this unit was going to be loud...so loud that it is embarrassing when people come to visit and truly so loud it is uncomfortable to be in our living room, we would have spent whatever we had to spend to get peace and quiet in our home.  
 When we first had this unit put in we noticed the overflow pipes were dripping.  The owner of AmTech came and said that the unit was not level, the pan was full and he was thankful for our overflow cutoff or he would be buying us a new ceiling.  At the time he was here we also discussed with him how noisy the unit was.  He said he would get back with us on how he could possibly make it quieter.  We contacted him after a couple weeks and he said he had injured himself so he would not be able to come by for a while.
We never heard from him.
Just this month the overflow pipes were leaking again. The owner was out of town so someone else worked on it.  Again the overflow pan was full.  He said it was due to the fact that the pipe was sloping up instead of down.  He vacuumed all of the water out of the overflow pan again.  He cut the pipe and made it slope the right way.  We spoke to him about how loud the unit was.  He said, "yea that is maddening."  He also said that the air vent was too small, but you have to remember, we lived in this house peacefully for 8 years and had an air handler and heat pump that did not drive us out of our minds.
I'm not sure what the answer is.  Maybe the person who is actually selling you the unit should come and take a look at your home and sell you a unit comparable to the one you have, not just discuss it over the phone without ever seeing your home.  
So, I don't really have any confidence in the way the unit was installed (because of all of the water having to be vacuumed out twice) And I really wish someone would have given us better guidance as to what unit we should purchase.  
I have used this company for small problems before and was very satisfied.  They just really let us down on this job.

DIFICULT TO CONECT WITH AND FORGOT APPOINTMENT, LATE ARRIVING.

THEY RECOMENDED A LOT EXTRA WEATHERPROOFING, INSULATION, ETC.

 I TOLD HIM OK GET BACK TO ME WITH AN ESTIMATE & THAT'S THE LAST TIME THAT I TALKED TO THEM. THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. 

Bryan and crew were responsive, fairly priced and did great work. They even tidied up some work done by previous sloppy contractors. I'd recommend them highly

He was great.  I thought I might need Freon and he said everything was good.  He was very honest, so I didn’t need any further services.  He was very polite, showed up on time and did his job.

Called when we discovered water leaking from our unit (upstairs - lovely!).  Tech was at my house within the hour, checked things out, diagnosed the problem and got us squared away this afternoon.  So happy the kiddos will be able to sleep in comfort tonight instead of hot and sticky!

Amtech Mechanical came out and fixed my problem real quickly.

He checked out the system and determined that the freon was extremely low.  He added freon and some leak stop.  Our air conditioner is now working great again.  He worked quickly and efficiently and was very nice! 

I got to get an air conditioning guy, I looked up Amtech Mechanical and I'm very pleased with them. He diagnosed the problem, he did not have the part available but he would be in, come back early in the morning after he get to the part house which he did, he followed up and he kept me posted on the phone where he was and before he purchase the part and came out, he called me and tell me exactly how much it's going to cost. It's really kind of hard to do 'cause I didn't priced it out, I kind of look of what those motors were, it was the motor on the unit outside of the fan motor and I felt like it was a fair price but I didn't get bid on it. I'd use them in the future.

They did a good job.

Spoke to Bryan on Wednesday (6/12/2013) and he was ready to get a pro out immediately, however my schedule did not allow, the appointment was set for today (06/14/2013, 1:00PM).  Jordan arrived at my home a few minutes before expected and took the time to listen to my concerns.  I appreciate that he did not speculate on what it might be before a complete inspection and review of the AC components.  The pros are very well equipped with the latest in detection and diagnostic tools.
Jordan came to a conclusive and comprehensive diagnoisis and presented me with 3 options to remedy the issue to match the budget.  **There was NO UPSELLING** and what I elected to have done was the best option realizing that the end result might be a replacement of the components at some point in the future (today's budget did no allow for the replacement,) but in the interim there was an agreed upon path forward and this was executed exactly as requested.

Jordan answered every question and made sure that I made an informed decision and there was no question about expectations or end result.
This is an honest company that is clearly not focused on quantity but truly focused on QUALITY of service and getting the job done right the first time.  I will without hesitation us them again and would recommend them with confidence to anyone that is seeking high quality, professional and comprehensive AC work.

My first contact required two phone calls. The person who answered appears to be the owner, who is also doing work for the company. He promised to call me back when he got to the office, but failed to do so by the next day so I called again. This time he was available to speak with me and set up a time to come do the checkup. The schedule for the visit was very quick and the person who came on-site was very professional and identified the issue quickly. The workmen who arrived the next day were also very professional and completed the work quickly and verified with me that everything was working fine.

The work was good. They showed up on time to the appointment.

The technician from AmTech Mechanical called me advising what time he would be arriving.  The technician was very punctual and arrived on-time.  This was impressive as I was used to waiting with other companies for hours.  The technician was very professional and after explaining my problem to him he came up with ideas to fix the problem. We were not sure if we had to replace the ductwork or it could be tied and taped.  The ductwork was tied up and taped in place for a permanent fix.  In about 45 minutes, he was done and I had heat again. Well done!!!  It is working well to this date.
I am very pleased with the service that I received.  Very professional and quality work received. I would highly recommend this company.  Thank you. 

They were excellent! I called them in the morning and Brian said he was unsure if he could get to me that day. However, he came out quickly at 7pm that evening. He found that we needed to replace the unit, but provided a quick fix in the meantime. He guided us through the process of choosing a new unit. He explained to us how our house was not built efficient, but the energy efficient unit would not work correctly for the home as the house was not built that way. He had it installed within a week even with his full schedule. Brian is the owner and he actually came to our house that day because all of his crew was busy. He is a really great guy. I liked his business because when you think of the people who own small businesses, you feel like they are trustworthy and honest. Brian is exactly this. He is honest, hardworking and is a good person that you can trust your home to. He has a good work ethnic.

Came to house and inspected and cleaned system.  All was well and they didn't try to make something up.  

Without a doubt this is the best AC guy in Central Texas. Brian is a man of integrity and it shows, not only in his work but also in his responsiveness, his honest estimates and his desire to provide the best service. Here in Texas AC in the summer is mission critical. I had a situation where the previous company had incorrectly installed our units. Brian took the time to walk me through what happened, what he was going to do to repair it. He and Jordon are very thorough and do an exceptional job of protecting the homeowner by making suggestions to prevent future problems. 
I would not (and I don't, this is the second time I have used them), hesitate to use them for all of my Heating and AC needs. Quality guys who do an excellent job.Bill
