"Very well. Another reputable company who had been in business for 40 years could not figure out why my master bedroom was always 4-5 degrees hotter than the rest of home. They blamed it on several factors which was incorrect . This company immediately knew what needed to be done by doing an air balancing and now my master bedroom is as cool as the rest of the house. I decided to buy a new unit also , which had nothing to do with the cooling problem in the master bedroom. I would call them again if I need too."

"I hired them to clean my dryer vent. It took two hours to unclog it and it makes a big difference in dryer operation. I had them come the next day to clean my air conditioning vent. They even took down the covers and cleaned them. Very pleased with their service."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Excessive humidity in a room often manifests through visible signs like condensation on windows or walls, a musty or damp odor lingering in the air, peeling wallpaper or paint, and the presence of mold or mildew. Experiencing discomfort due to a consistently clammy or sticky feeling can also indicate high humidity levels.

A blocked return air vent can cause your HVAC system to work much harder and, therefore, less efficiently. The result is higher utility bills and poorer air quality. A blocked return air vent can also cause unpleasant dust, dander, and odors to linger in your home’s air.

Yes, it’s best to turn off an AC unit that’s blowing hot air to prevent system damage and avoid expensive energy bills. If you let the AC continue running, it will put more strain on the condenser coil and compressor. Plus, if the AC is blowing hot air because of a refrigerant leak, it can also lead to a frozen evaporator coil.

This depends on the extent of the freezing. Some ACs only need an hour or two to thaw out, but others may need a full day to completely unfreeze. Once you turn off the system to let it unfreeze, check it periodically to make sure the drain pan doesn’t overflow. When you turn the system back on, keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t start freezing again.

While all portable AC units will collect moisture as part of their cooling and dehumidifying process, whether and how often you need to drain them depends on what kind of unit you have and the natural humidity levels where you live. For example, if you live in a very dry area and have a self-evaporating unit, you may not need to drain your portable AC very often at all. Some units may automatically drain collected moisture out the window through their exhaust vent.
