"The people from Insulation Works were extremely courteous and worked within my schedule availability. Additionally, they told me about an energy rebate I would be eligible for because of the insulation, that I wasn't aware of. They were very professional and did an excellent job. The new fan works to automatically to limit the temperature and humidity in my attic, while the additional insulation will not only lower my utility bills but reduce external noises."

"The home was older with 2 working systems and an abandoned system, this had been revised over the years before I purchased the home so I am sure the configuration was complicated. Several things they fixed correctly, however, when the new duct work was installed neither of the guys that originally evaluated the system was present and some of the duct work was not installed properly - ducts were left too long and kinked into spaces reducing airflow and two supply lines were also connected to returns. I actually felt the cold air blowing out of both the supply and return ducts so I know the wrong ducts were connected in two rooms.  Old duct work that had been connected to a newer system was not recognized in the original evaluation so was not replaced and those rooms went from poor air conditioning to no air conditioning. Two companies I asked to review and estimate corrections to the Tasco repairs both checked the abandoned system for working ducts as part of their review and mentioned that is a common problem they always look for. Laine, who originally inspected the system and recommended the repairs, and is the reason I chose Tasco, never returned to the property again...not to oversee or check the work despite my request to do so. When it was time for the inspection, Tasco was suppose to be present but did not show up and the inspection failed, requiring a repeat inspection and another afternoon of my time. There was a representative from Tasco for the second inspection. In their defense, Tasco was responsive to my calls and was going to try to address the problems but by then I felt it better to use a company where the same person would supervise all the work for the revisions and anything new I needed in the future.

"Getting 3 rooms + painted was so much easier than I anticipated. First of all, working with Charlie was wonderful. He was very quick to respond to calls and emails (another company I contacted never even called me back), and when he came out to the house he took his time to answer all my questions, gave me 100% of his attention, and did not seem in a rush (despite the several jobs he had going on at once). He made me feel like my business was important to him, too. The crew was able to start the job very quickly, I had no trouble at all getting them scheduled. The work was done so fast! The guys left my house cleaner than it had been before they came, I'm sure of it. They were so respectful while in my house, and careful not to leave a mess. The best part was I had zero prep work to do before they came over to paint. They moved all the furniture out of the way, took all the switch plates off the wall, covered up all the holes in the wall, and then put everything back the way I wanted it when they were done, it was wonderful. I plan to have them back again to paint the rest of the interior of my home when I'm ready."

"I am very happy with the outcome of my kitchen! Craftsman Painting and Remodeling went above and beyond my expectations. They were very professional, on time, and communicated well. As a plus, Eli and his crew also installed hinges to a faux cabinet, pulls for cabinets and soft close stoppers. I will definitely be hiring them again and will recommend them to anyone looking for painting or remodeling services."

"Orlando and Leo arrived and promptly went to work to repair a large hole in the Sheetrock where a pipe had been leaking. They got the sheet rock repaired first— tape and bed— then texture. Put a fan on it to dry, than painted the entire wall. it looks great. Cleaned up — they also of course put down protective covering on the floor before starting. All done in about 4 hours. Polite nice guys."

"First, Marco is a fine young man. I  was impressed with the number of skills he could perfom. He took his time and ensured everything went as planned. I was concerned about the spaces at each end of the tub, against the walkin shower and the far wall. Marco built smalll walls and then match the tile. There are no spaces and it looks very pleasing.
Bill, the Boss came by frequently to check on the progress. Bill answered all questions and was very responive in getting back to me. He even called on the weekend just to see how we were feeling about the work. A nice bunch of people.
I highly recommend this company if your looking for walkin tub work."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, clean your fans whenever you tidy up the home. Fans benefit greatly from a light weekly cleaning and a deep cleaning at the start of each season. If it’s been a while since you touched up the fans with oscillating blades, start with the deep cleaning before moving on to the lighter touch-ups. If you’re unsure when to clean fans and other parts of the home, learn how often you should clean your home.

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Attic and whole-house fans improve a home's energy efficiency and comfort. They ventilate hot air from the attic, which reduces peak cooling loads, lowers reliance on air conditioning, and decreases indoor temperatures. This improved air circulation and expedited heat exit helps lower cooling costs, balance moisture levels, and enhance overall natural airflow, contributing to the efficient operation of other home equipment.

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type. Passive fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. You can extend the life of your fan with regular maintenance, such as cleaning the fan blades and shutters and checking for moisture. For professional service, you can consult a local attic fan installer or have an HVAC technician clean, oil, and inspect the unit for potential issues.

A whole-house fan will not allow you to control your home's temperature and keep it at a specific temperature like a traditional AC unit would. You rely on the night and morning weather to cool your home down efficiently. Also, whole-house fans can be loud and may allow cold air to enter your home in the winter. They also require penetrations through your exterior walls or roof, which could invite water and pests in if they aren’t installed properly.
