"Robert and Norman came out after a tub to shower install to fix an issue with a hot water line. Norman, the master plumber assessed the issue and found the best way to deal with it, even cleaned out the faucets. Robert repaired the drywall and became very friendly with Simba (my dog). Both guys were very punctual, informative and professional. Thank you guys!"

"The installers were very polite and courteous. They understood my concerns and reached out to others at Premier to address them right away. They did a very good job fixing my walk in shower and the issues I have with the shower curtain rod and the missing trim are going to be fixed in about a week. Overall my experience went really well. They worked until the job was done in a day and I really appreciated that."

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

Treat any active leak or sewage backup as an immediate emergency, as saturated clay soils quickly destabilize foundations in Dayton. Address plumbing issues right away if you notice cracking drywall or sticking doors. Minor fixture wear from hard water can wait for a scheduled service call. Plan non-urgent projects outside of peak hurricane season to ensure faster contractor availability.

Helpful?

Before scheduling plumbing, note whether you rely on municipal water or a private well. Locate your main shutoff valve and document your property's flood zone status, as this impacts under-slab projects. Check if you have a septic tank or public sewer connection. You should also record your existing pipe materials and any prior permitted work to help your TX contractor prepare.

Helpful?

A reliable indicator of quality plumbing is documentation of a passed inspection from your local authority. Because Dayton has hard water, professionals should install dielectric unions to prevent corrosion. Your contractor should also provide proof of pressure-tested supply lines to ensure proper function. Always verify that the work meets state code requirements for proper venting and correct drain line slopes.

Helpful?

Keep children and pets safe during plumbing by securing excavated areas, especially during the spring storm season when local flood risks rise. If your project requires an extended water shutoff during the extreme TX summer heat, store plenty of drinking water for your family. Always flush your water lines thoroughly after work is completed to clear out dislodged sediment and debris.

Helpful?

Expansive clay soils in Dayton frequently crack under-slab drain lines, making them a top priority for plumbing repairs. Hard water accelerates wear on toilet flappers, faucet cartridges, and water heaters, causing sediment buildup and corrosion. Tree roots easily invade older sewer connections. Additionally, exposed pipes and outdoor hose bibs require attention after periodic hard winter freezes damage vulnerable exterior lines.
