"The owner worked with me and the insurance company. He met with the insurance adjuster to look at the damage to my roof, then gave me a bid. His men worked 12+ hours/day in August (temps over 100 degrees) to complete the job. They did a good job and left the yard looking like they hadn't even been there. I would certainly recommend Teyshas Roofing to anyone."

"Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels."

"My experience with 5 star commercial roofing was great.Ben was the man in charge of the project, he told me what the project would cost and didn't try to change the price on me.that was a plus, we paid out of pocket.Project was completed within 2 weeks for a complete roof replacement, outdoor cleanup, ceiling replacement, painting, all of this because of the 85mph wind we had come thru Amarillo on March 14,2025,Ben even went as far as hiring a cleanup person for inside the home, before and after was magical...THANK YOU BEN.I think anyone needing roof repair or a new roof need to check with 5 Star Commercial Roofing, you will be happy that you did"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Asphalt shingles, wooden shakes, and slate or clay roofing tiles are often replaceable without having to replace the entire roof. It's possible to replace just a few shingles or tiles without much trouble in the case of wind damage or other minor problems. DIYers can perform the task in some situations. However, professional repair is always the best bet when it comes to roofing.

Rolled roofing averages $1.50 to $3 per square foot, with an average installation price of $7,500. This is less expensive than the normal cost for new roofs—traditional styles run between $4.35 and $11 per square foot, averaging $14,400.

The cost to install roof heating cables typically ranges from $500 to $2,000, with an average of around $1,000. On a per-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $8 and $15 per linear foot. Key factors that influence the final price include the size and complexity of your roof, roof pitch, the type and length of the cable, the price of the system itself, labor fees, and whether any additional electrical work is required. Generally, smaller roofs will cost less than larger ones. The total cost usually includes both materials and professional installation.

While a few icicles on your roof are standard, a large accumulation can be a sign of a bigger problem, such as poor insulation. This is particularly true if you are also dealing with ice dams. If you have numerous large icicles, it is recommended to have a roofing contractor diagnose potential insulation issues and create a plan to solve them.

The lifespan of an impact-resistant roof averages 30 to 50 years, depending on the quality of the shingles and the amount of wear and tear it endures. Some high-quality shingles may last even longer. For comparison, a standard asphalt roof lasts about 20 years, so choosing an impact-resistant option can increase your roof's lifespan by 50% or more, particularly in regions prone to extreme weather.
