One to avoid:  Solar Advantage.  Bugged us to death, tried to trick us into going with them; sent long email telling us how awful Sunpro is, which was all untrue.  All others contacted in our area no where near came close to Sunpro - with info, professionalism, knowledge, straightforwardness, & follow-up.
Note:  They plan the panels for $25,000 in order for LA residents to get the full 50% LA rebate ($12,500) & 30% Federal credit ($7,500), leaving $5,000 as our portion.

Several of the ones that I spoke to mentioned that it was usually used as a coating over a leaking roof, but not as a main roof material. They did offer a price that was about 60% of a traditional tar-and-gravel flat roof job."
