"Said 3-5 business days from day I made down payment. Only took 2 days. Very reasonable pricing. They have a showroom where you can see the shower doors. Very professional with quick response to my online inquiry. Great communication. Also replaced a broken window I had in the same trip. Would definitely use them again."

"John Lapone is a skilled craftsman. I had him install a slab door in which the lock, hinge inset had to be done. He did a great job in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. He also did some other small jobs for me while he was here also. I highly recommend him for any wood working project you might have."

"Tommy arrived at the appointed time. After a few minutes surveying the situation, Tommy and his helper got right to work. The old garage apt, door was removed without breaking any glass. New doors were installed after some adjustments. The guys cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old doors. Everything fits well and looks great. Yes I happily would use him again."

Doors questions, answered by experts

In Conroe, door service projects can reveal hidden issues like water-damaged framing, termite damage, or outdated structural supports, especially in older homes. You may also encounter costs for custom trim work to match existing finishes, disposal of heavy doors, or upgraded weatherstripping to handle local humidity. If your home is in a flood-prone area, additional sealing and moisture barriers are often needed to protect your investment.

Helpful?

For door service projects in Conroe, fiberglass and composite doors are excellent for resisting humidity and minimizing warping. Steel doors with insulated cores offer added security and energy efficiency. For interior doors, engineered wood with moisture-resistant finishes works well. Opt for stainless steel or brass hardware to prevent corrosion, and always use high-quality weatherstripping and exterior-grade caulk for long-lasting protection.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Conroe should consider the area’s frequent humidity swings, which can cause swelling or warping in doors not properly sealed. Check if your neighborhood has HOA rules about door appearance or color. For added storm protection, look for impact-rated doors and hardware. Prioritizing energy-efficient options and pest-resistant materials can also help address common regional challenges during door service projects.

Helpful?

If your Conroe home has doors that stick, show visible gaps, or have rotting frames, it’s likely time for door service. Homes with consistently high energy bills or noticeable drafts also benefit from upgrades. Properties exposed to frequent storms or built over 20 years ago are especially strong candidates, as new doors can improve security, comfort, and even help with insurance requirements.

Helpful?

In Conroe, be wary of contractors who offer vague estimates, lack a local business address, or refuse to show proof of insurance. Watch for quotes that skip details about materials suitable for TX humidity or don’t specify warranty coverage. High-pressure sales tactics, requests for large cash deposits, or missing written agreements are also warning signs when comparing door service project quotes.
