"They installed solar panels as per contract. They were on time and removed all material when done. I had roof damage from a storm and they repaired it at no extra cost. So far I am happy with this company and plan on using them again for house repair.

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

We are a locally owned business with 8 employees with a wide range of knowledge in the construction industry. We can do anything and everything that it takes to build a house from the foundation up. We have been in business for 17yrs now and have made plenty of new home and have done more than a fair share of remodels as well. We offer a "No Deductible" offer if you have been awarded a check from your insurance company as a result of a peril covered by your insurance policy in which we will replace whatever was damaged at the amount the insurance company awarded to you without any out of pocket money from you, hence "No Deductible."

"We called Accede after finding them online.
Initially we called them for quotes on a back yard construction project we've been considering for a long time.
The owner, Jess Marshall met us and took measurements.
While he was on the roof checking on some structural items he noticed hail damage on our roof and gutters.
He encouraged us to call our insurance company, which we did.
When our adjuster came to look at our property Jess met him to show him the damage he'd observed.
Our insurance company totaled several items including the roof, gutters, fence, etc.
We contracted with Accede Construction to repair all of the insurance claim items as well as to build the new back yard structures and concrete patio.
We were impressed with the way Jess and his team communicated with us about scheduling and other technical project issues.
Every time my husband or I had a question or a concern, Jess and his project managers got back to us right away.
We are so happy with the finished patios, arbors, roof, gutters, fence etc.
The attention to detail and cleanup efforts from all the Accede crews was impressive.
Jess also processed our insurance claim paperwork and helped us recover our depreciation as well as a supplement.
My husband and I have already referred Accede to friends and family and we will continue to do so!

"Once there, we were told we didn't have just 1, but were infested in the attic. We were quoted to seal up all openings where they getting in, vacuum the insulation (which would get rid of them in the attic), lay new insulation & then 1 free year of pest control. When I got the quote, I about passed out. The tech told us they have a payment plan & it would only be $213/mo. I actually logged on here to see if they had any coupons, but then started reading reviews where almost every post said something similar to my story. So, I called 2 other companies for a 2nd & 3rd opinion.  Both 2nd & 3rd opinions said they see no sign of live activity in the attic.  I then went back to the Critter Control website & noticed they didn't have an Angie's list icon, but did have a A+ BBB rating. When I clicked on that icon, it took me to their page on the BBB, which says "No Rating" as opposed to A+. So with those 3 red flags, I chose to cancel my appointment & go with another company.

"They could do everything up to the roof line, their insurance wouldn't cover roofing. The guy was really nice and everything he just couldn't do work on the roof. He was on time and professional."

"I like and trust Mr Carrillo because of another wonderful  job he did at our home (not roofing) When I set up an appointment it wasn't Mr Carrillo but another company with a different name claiming to work under Mr Carrillo. I didn't like this company because I felt they wanted to get the most of my insurance and as this person told me to use some of the same materials on my roof and still charge me full price what my insurance is willing to pay. By what this person said I decided not to get them.

Insulation questions, answered by experts

It's essential to use insulation materials specifically designed for air ducts. Common types of duct insulation materials include fiberglass, foam board, and reflective foil. These insulation materials have the right properties to withstand the temperature and airflow conditions within the ductwork. Using the appropriate insulation not only ensures efficient temperature control but also prevents potential safety hazards or the release of harmful particles into the air.

To cover your HVAC ducts and air vents during construction, use plastic sheets or drop cloths secured with painter's tape. Be sure to cover all supply vents on your floors and walls, as well as the larger HVAC return vent, which is typically on the ceiling. While canvas drop cloths can also be used, they may not catch all the fine dust. It is crucial to shut off your HVAC system or at least the zone where construction is happening. Running the system with vents sealed can put significant strain on the blower motor and air handler. For additional dust containment, you can also hang plastic sheets over doorways to separate the construction area from the rest of your home.

Hanging a thick blanket over your windows will help to keep the heat inside, but only a little. Covering the glass will also prevent the sunlight from getting in, which might actually decrease the efficiency of your window overall. If you get to the point where you’re hanging blankets over your window to keep warm, call in an expert to seal around your windows to prevent warm air from escaping. They may also recommend replacing old windows that aren’t as insulative as newer window technology. Sealing a window isn’t terribly expensive and can make a big difference.

Installing sheets of plywood over attic insulation is a popular choice, especially in storage spaces. That said, insulation works by trapping hot air—so it needs extra space to expand and be effective, or you might reduce the energy efficiency of your home.

It’s important that you never compress the insulation by installing flooring directly on top of it. In many houses, you’ll need to install a subfloor before putting plywood over insulation in your attic.

Yes, eco-friendly blown-in insulation options include materials made from recycled cellulose or wool. These offer excellent thermal performance and sustainability, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact while enhancing home efficiency.
